Today we provided ramp access to our local Port Rowan Fire Department to run up their rescue boats. Id like to put out a big shout out to all the first line responders out there for all the wonderful and courageous things they do.

May 15th, 2020 With the latest government announcement allowing Marinas and Seasonal Trailer Parks to open, with clarification and confidence we will be officially opening our Marina and Park on Saturday May 16th. While open we will be enforcing social distancing protocols. On the marina side of things, we encourage our customers and the public to take full advantage of our double launch boat ramp, docking and storage services. We have a fully stocked tank of minnows and a... full batch of worms ready for all the anglers out there. For our seasonal trailer occupants, the Hydro and water will be turned on ready for your arrival. With regards to our seasonal facilities such as the change rooms, pool, playground equipment, games area and the recreational hall they will remain closed until further notice. To all our park and marina members, upon arrival please ensure your accounts are in good standing and your occupant packages have been handed in. To all of those who have been stood by us patiently while we engaged the multiple levels of government to provide safe access to our facilities and to those who advocated and contributed to this successful outcome, Thank You. To all the frontline workers that are not only in our communities but to also the ones within the Shady Akers community. By putting yourselves on the frontlines taking take of others to ensure everyone else remains safe, you all are the true reason we are able to open. In preparation for opening the marina weve added a couple of channel markers. Theyre meant to aid in those late night returns from that favourite fishing hole.

Last weekend we managed to take advantage of the nice weather and get all the docks in. We also experienced some wild life taking in the view from our pier.

Hello everyone, weve put together an introduction letter and would like to it share it with all our park members. We look forward to seeing everyone in the 2020 season.
