Hello everyone. Today is the first weekend of the Winter Guard International (WGI) 2019 Season. If you are unfamiliar with WGI contests, and you are looking for something to do on the weekends during the last two dreary months of winter, I strongly recommend attending a show and supporting this amazing program and the kids that participate in it. 5-6 minute floor shows are put on and the competitions take place indoors in gyms and auditoriums. Just want to share something. As previously mentioned, CDL are taking a hiatus from day-to-day operations this fall as we get our Administrative and Corporate house in order. Part of this is informing all the parade organizers that we aren't available for their events this season. Obviously they are all disappointed to hear CDL won't be in their event this year. However, almost every single organization has responded with understanding, thanks, and appreciation of what Colts ...Drum Line has brought to their previous events, and they express gratitude for the same and pledge their support to our organization, and patiently await our return in 2019, much like the letter below from the Sarnia Kinsmen in regard to CDL not participating in this years Sarnia Santa Clause parade. It is support from the community like this, that keeps us toiling away to improve our program. Colts Drum Line would like to take this opportunity to extand OUR thanks and graditude to all the Service Organizations and Municipality organizers who understand and appreciate how much work it is to put a program like Colts Drum Line together, and who support us and wish us well even when we can't participate in their events.
