How will I be able to see the fireworks on the evening of August 15thThe following important details are for you! ZONE MAPS To help you better locate yo...urself, we have created 2 maps delimiting the perimeters from which it will be possible to see the fireworks from East to West of the city on the evening of Illumination. You may ask us, but why aren’t you in my neighbourhood You have to understand that the site selection process has been very complex. To give you an idea of the complexity, in order to select 8 official sites, we had to evaluate nearly 30 of them and they all had to meet several criteria. 1 - we wanted to be present in all 5 areas of the city (Aylmer, Hull, Gatineau, Masson-Angers and Buckingham); 2 - we wanted to be visible to as many Gatinois as possible; 3- large spaces had to be found in order to comply with fireworks safety rules. You may also want to ask us, but why don’t you reveal the names of the 8 sites to the public Out of respect for the health and safety measures imposed by the Quebec Government, we have no other choices than to keep the sites secret because the organizations could jeopardize the holding of the event. PRACTICE FIRE Don’t worry, on the evening of the event, between 8:45 p.m. and 9:00 p.m., 3 practice fires will be launched from the 8 sites to allow you to locate the show and take place in the best possible location. Now that you have a better idea of the areas that will be served by the fireworks, it’s time to prepare your evening with family or friends. Whether it’s from your backyard, your balcony, your alley, or perhaps you would have a better view at a friend's house or by moving around a little? This is the perfect opportunity to plan a get together while respecting physical distancing measures!

The past few days, our teams were in site visit mode for the planning of the August 15th event! It's a grand total of 8 secret sites from the 4 corners of the city of Gatineau that will be highlighted by the deployment of Illumination.
