Our Support Group for Parents with Children with Diversabilities is only two days away. This Zoom call is taking place to provide support to parents and families throughout our community. Join us February 24 at 11am or 6:30pm for a relaxed, inclusive place to socialize, share experiences and access resources to support you in your demanding job of raising a child. Hey Revelstoke youth! Another week means another Pit Stop. Open to ages 13 - 18, this after school session is a time to connect with Community Connections, Stoke Youth Network, enjoy a social hang out and find out more about how to access our various programs.... With the help from all the wonderful customers, Revelstoke's Taco Club managed to sell 165 'bake at home' meals to be donated to the local food bank! Thank you to everyone who helped make this possible and thank you to The Taco Club for the great initiative! We welcome any and all forms of fundraisers, donations or partnerships to ensure we can continue to offer supportive services throughout our community. Did you know there are no costs associated with the counselling services offered at Community Connections? The counsellors at Community Connections are committed to building constructive and collaborative partnerships with individuals and families seeking support. Our practice is inclusive, client-centred and sensitive to culture, gender and spirituality. Community Connections has been receiving lots of questions about how people can help us support the community during the cold weather. If you would like to make a contribution to the Emergency Resource Fund that we rely on for emergency shelter, dentist, vision, utility bills, fuel, health care supplies, you can e-transfer directly to: [email protected] Please note "Emergency Resources" in the comment box.... This fund relies on donations from individuals, businesses, and organizations in order for us to be able to offer the supports required and requested. As a result of the pandemic there have been increased demands and decreased available funds. If you want to chat more about this ongoing, year round issue and what you can do to help please don't hesitate to reach out. RMR has already raised over $7K for Community Connections Local Food Bank throughout these early months of 2021! Our faithful Food Bank Garden team has wrapped up for its 2020 growing season! Thank you to Bryce, Michal and Take to Heart Mill for all your hard work this summer. Our food bank was continuously stocked with organic fresh produce all summer long thanks to this team!
