God's blessings to all, I hope and pray that this Thanksgiving holiday finds each of you well in spite of the challenges of this pandemic. We have so much to be thankful to our lord for including whatever degree of health we have in our bodies and minds, the wisdom that a spirit filled live offers us and the beauty and freedom present in Canada and in particular in Northern Ontario. I am indeed grateful for my family and also for my church family whom I love dearly and whom I... sense love me unconditionally. It's easy to get sidetracked in difficult times but it is my fervent prayer that although we can't be together physically that each of you can feel the hug of love and concern that I am sending your way and that this may bring you some degree of comfort. Christ offers us life, a more abundant life. We are called to explore, ponder and rejoice in these very words of life which he so humbly offers. I wish you each a joyous and blessed Thanksgiving. Hello and Christ's peace to everyone, I just wanted to greet each of you in the name of Christ and let you know that although we aren't able to worship at church that you are not out of my thoughts and my prayers. This pandemic has affected everyone on our planet in one form or another. People have become ill, lost loved ones, become anxious and worried about the posing danger, lost their employment and many people connections. It is a time for us as Christians to put our own... worries on the back burner and to petition our God, through his only begotten son Jesus, to pour out a spirit of blessing on all who are suffering. We need to uphold all medical workers in our prayers and also the scientists who are working feverishly to try to develop a vaccine. One thing that I wanted to share with you is that God demonstrated through His Son that He is no respecter of persons. This terrible virus is also no respecter of persons. We are all bound together in God's unconditional love, an embracing love, an empathetic love. We are called to uphold all people, as Christ does, in a compassionate embrace. We're all His children. Your efforts as a mother are often overlooked or taken for granted but I want you to know that the love which you give to your children simulates the love which Christ desires for all of us to give -unconditional in quality and immeasurable in magnitude. You are loved and respected for the sacrifices which you continue to make on behalf of your children and society is richly blessed because of it. God's blessings to all, I wanted to share a time of grace and peace with you on this, the Holiest of times. There are so many things that impress me and bring the gift of the spirit within me to fulfillment. As Christ was being nailed to the cross He petitioned His Heavenly Father on behalf of the soldiers "forgive them Father for they no not what they do." In a state of mercy He heard the cry of the one next to Him on the cross and assured him that he would be with Him in pa...radise. He looked at His grieving mother and His disciple John the Beloved and said "behold thy son, and behold thy mother." Even as He was being victimized and suffering immeasurable pain He was still sending messages of love. When He rose from the dead the first one He appeared to was Mary Magdelene who loved Him so much for she was forgiven much. I am in awe of the quest He gives to His devoted disciple Simon Peter as He challenges him 3 times by asking him "Simon son of Jonas, lovest me more than these" -and each time after Peter affirmed that he loved Him Jesus responded "feed my lambs -feed my sheep - feed my sheep." This time of year, more than any other I glory in God's infinite mercy that He loves me so much that He sacrificed His only begotten son Jesus that I might have life and that I might have it more abundantly. God's gracious blessings to all. I wanted to share with each of you the concerns which we share concerning the covid virus which has plagued so many in the world. I took the advice of our Prophet Steve Veazey and cancelled our church services here in the Soo for the next 3 weeks. We will review the situation and advice of the church and the scientific/medical community at that time. Please be advised that although we will not be worshiping together at the church until after t...he March 29th weekend that you are not forgotten and that each of you holds a special place in my heart as members of a Christian community. My prayers are with you and I am here for your needs. If any of you are in short supply of necessities please call me and I will try to help you. Our Prophet Steve Veazey has shared a mighty prayer which is available through the world church website and on today's Daily Bread (March 15th). I urge you to search the scriptures for passages of comfort and hope and I encourage all to pray mightily unto our creator for a resolution to this problem. God's blessings to all -I would like to welcome everyone to our Christmas Eve service at 7 p.m. The theme is O Holy Night -A Time of Peace. We have a lot of gifted musicians and singers who will be sharing their talents including Brenda Arrowsmith -piano, Don Arrowsmith -singing, Randi Mraud -singing, -Carla Walker singing and Dana Arrowsmith -violin. We will also have a children's time where songs will be sung and a special story read to them. The children will receive small gifts at the end of the service. Don Arrowsmith will be sharing a Christmas Eve themed message. I'm excited about this service and it is a family oriented service where all can participate and feel welcome. Hi and God's infinite blessings to all, I wanted to thank everyone who participated in our recent Christmas tea and Bazaar. There were so many wonderful desserts, cookies, crafts and creations. It was also a wonderful social time for so many in our community. I was truly blessed as I watched several elderly people, some with health and mobility issues, helping clean, set up and make everything just right for this event. Though we be small in numbers yet we have the strength of an army when it comes to serving Christ and His people. All are truly blessed for this. Christ's peace, Kevin (Bubba).
