Congratulations to Troy Dashkewytch for completing the Indigenous Canada course offered by the University of Alberta! Troy is the first of many Compass employees who are working towards this certificate.
2021 marks our 10 year anniversary as an accredited Land Surveying provider! Compass Geomatics was founded with the vision to create a client-centric land surveying company in Canada’s oil & gas sector. Since opening our doors our outstanding team has realized that vision and expanded it to a diverse range of industries. Pipeline integrity (weld mapping), 3D earthworks design, municipal, powerline, construction, unmanned aerial vehicle (UAV), bathymetric, and utility surveying are some of the services we are now proud to offer. ‘The achievements of any organization are the results of the combined efforts of every individual’ Vince Lombardi
Compass’ Kris Locking had the opportunity to work with an amazing team on an HDD project over the last year. This project had unforeseen challenges at almost every step along the route to completion, so to celebrate this trophy was made from a gauge plate. Very cool idea!
To our friends, Though it has been a difficult year, these hard times have showcased the community spirit of Albertans. Our generous nature is something that we should all be incredibly proud of! This holiday season Compass Geomatics has opened a fund-raising campaign for Food Banks Alberta. The need for their services has increased greatly, and the impact of their efforts can be seen directly within our communities. To kick things off we have made a donation of $1000, and e...ncourage anyone who has the means to contribute with us. Donation total updates will be posted on our social media throughout the month. To donate go to http://foodbanksalberta.ca/donate/ and select Compass Geomatics from the fund drop down menu. All donations will receive a tax receipt. Our best wishes to you and your families! www.compassgeomatics.ca
We are super proud of our team and love getting reviews from our clients. :)
A day to remember. Lest we forget.
Extremely proud of our team who were the recipients of the 2020 Building Industry & Land Development (BILD) Service Professional of the Year award!

We are very proud to showcase the effort of one of our employees, Kyla Florent. She saw a social media post by a health care worker requesting mask adapters and... created several types using Compass’ 3D printer. This started as a single request but has turned into dozens. If you work in health care and need a mask adapter contact Compass Geomatics via our social media and we will provide you one free of charge (we will continue to print until our 3D printer stops working). Stay safe! #printerdontfailmenow www.compassgeomatics.ca See more
Compass provides 3D scanning services using a state of the art Trimble SX10. Point clouds can be obtained with incredible accuracy allowing the creation of 3D models for engineering design, deformation analysis, and many other applications. Give us a call if you would like to know more!
Did you know..... Compass party chiefs frequently conduct pre-construction wildlife sweeps. These sweeps ensure that a proposed development does not interfere with important wildlife features such as raptor nests, heron rookeries (nests), occupied dens and mineral licks as legislated by the Wildlife Act and Master Schedule of Standards and Conditions. The Nest pictured was found by one of our crews during a wildlife sweep this winter.
A great photo of the Canada lynx (Lynx canadensis) from one of our Party Chiefs in Grande Prairie. How many of you have seen one of these kitty kats before?
Compass Geomatics has immediate openings for Survey Assistants in Cold Lake, Edmonton an Grande Prairie. Now is the time to start your career in "the right direction".
Compass has established a well-distributed crew base. This can be leveraged to save travel/hotel costs, and also enables crews to mobilize on emergency projects quickly.
Compass Geomatics is ready for another week of surveying. www.compassgeomatics.ca
Check out our newest piece of survey equipment! This intrinsically safe boat can be piloted by remote control or autonomously using a pre-programmed route. The on board dual-frequency echo sounder can measure the amount of sediment present in process or storm ponds, profile the ground at a proposed facility crossing, or provide a 3D photo model using side scan technology. Check out our website for more information http://www.compassgeomatics.ca/survey-services
Compass Geomatics is excited to be celebrating the Christmas season with all our fantastic clients and industry friends. Looking forward to seeing everyone tonight.
Today is the day where every Canadian has a chance to make their voice be heard. Please head out and vote!
