FROST DELAYS It’s that time of year again when it’s not only hard to pick out an outfit for the day but you also need to check in to see if your tee time is delayed or not. If we walk or have any form of traffic on turf with frost , it ruptures the plant cells leading to dead turf (pictured in the middle). It can take months for the turf to recover from this. ... All turf is at risk, but closely mowed turf (greens, tees and fairways) are at the greatest risk. Especially the greens because they have the most concentrated traffic . Remember, just because the frost is gone doesn’t mean play can start. UP & DOWN WINNER Thousand dollar putt dropping here- along with another good story. A couple weeks ago Peter @frenette12 misplaced his sand wedge and sadly it still hasn’t turned up .... Pete reached out looking for a new one knowing he had a big up and down shot out of a pot bunker Wednesday on the final men’s night for a thousand dollars. Luckily we haven’t sent our demo Mack Daddy 5 wedges back to Callaway for year end. Unboxed this one and sold to Pete and it paid for itself right away.
