#ConvenienceWishWeek is all about some pretty great Canadians. Thanks Convenience Industry Council of Canada for recognizing the work of our convenience store owners & workers, while raising funds for Make-A-Wish Canada.

National Convenience Week is all about community. The convenience industry is so important to Canada’s economy, and also to each community as stores meet the everyday needs of families in good times and difficult times. Thanks to everyone who supported their neighborhood store and donated to @Make-A-Wish Canada during #ConvenienceWishWeek Thank you to community leaders from coast to coast for recognizing the value of this industry and supporting business owners, managers and... staff. Thanks c-stores for their dedication, reliability and being there to serve Canadians, 7 days a week, in good times and tough times Donations for Make A Wish Canada will continue in convenience stores and online http://makeawish.ca/ncw2020

Thank you Tracy Gray for recognizing the important role convenience stores have played throughout the pandemic. When so many businesses were closed our c-stores were open, our front line employees and business owners provided an invaluable service when our communities needed them. This week is about recognizing them and thanking them and giving back to our community through Make-A-Wish Canada

You may recognize her? Meet Anaïs, dream child and National Convenience Week ambassador since 2019. Today, aged 6, Anaïs is a little girl who loves to see others happy and enjoys life to the fullest , but it was a difficult journey for her and her family. At her 7 months old, Anaïs was diagnosed with histiocytosis of Langerhans, a rare disease. She immediately started 3 years of chemotherapy treatment. Today Anaïs celebrates 3 years of remission! She made her dream come tru...e in 2017 towards the end of her treatments. Back then, Anaus and her brother loved to go camping with their parents. Anaïs s' dream of having a trailer was born. Her mother, Marie-Michèle, remembers: Tell you the reaction of Anais and Jacob when they saw the trailer! The kids were in awe." The trailer is set up at the family camping and Anaïs continues to enjoy it. Anaïs’s dream has been and is always a source of happiness. We spend pleasant family time, which was rarer during the years of treatments. From August 31 to September 4, 2020, thank you for supporting National Convenience Week. Your donation will help make dreams come true that will change the lives of children like Anais. Make a donation at a participating store or online at http://makeawish.ca/ncw2020 #ChildrensWishWeek
