Meet Kevin! Kevin has worked in the receiving department at the Home Centre for a little more than 6 months. His daily tasks consist of identifying correct materials that come off and on the shipping trucks, operating forklifts, and ensuring all paperwork is correct. Not much gets by Kevin, as he’s had 30 years of warehouse experience. Growing up in Dawson, then moving away for 22 years, Kevin has now found himself back in our community and keeps busy with the activities that... our small town has to offer. Outside of work, Kevin likes bowling in the men’s 5 pin league and likes getting out to play a round of golf in the summer months. Kevin also enjoys cooking at home and listening to classic rock, which makes him think back on all of the concerts he has travelled to with his good friends. He hopes to one day see the rest of Canada and catch a baseball game. Kevin loves working at the Co-op because he feels valued. Not only does his team trust him in doing the job right, but they also ask for his input on decisions that contribute to the successes of his department. A good sense of importance can go a long way to making an employee feel like they’re at home. See more

Meet Kyle! If you’ve come through the lumber yard at the Home Centre, you’ve most likely been helped by Kyle. He’s been here for almost 6 years now and enjoys loading and unloading trucks, making sure the yard is cleaned up, and helping our customers find what they need. Any day he’s outside using his hands is a good day for Kyle. Kyle moved here from Toronto in 2015 and likes Dawson Creek because of how quiet it is. Outside of work, he stays busy playing basketball in a men’...s league and shooting hoops with his friends up at the Ark. At home, he’ll relax by cooking and listening to some music and watching a Raptors game. This year Kyle hopes to head back home to Toronto as soon as possible to visit his family. Kyle loves working at Co-op because of the hardworking people that work alongside him. Having team members who work hard like him and have each other’s backs means our customers can have a good experience while shopping at the Co-op Home Centre. See more
