October is pastor appreciation month so this Sunday we will be setting up a table at the church for gifts to give to the St. Johns! In 1 Thessalonians 5:12-13, Paul urges the believers in Thessalonica to recognize those who labor among you, and are over you in the Lord and admonish you, and to esteem them very highly in love for their work’s sake. Let me encourage you this month to go out of your way to pray for and encourage our pastor Rory and his wife Janelle St. John and share with them how much you love and appreciate them. This is Rory with some news for the upcoming weeks: Sunday School: Our "Marks of a Healthy Church" study will continue on in coming weeks. However, for the next two Sundays (May 3rd and 10th), we will be switching our attention to another subject. On May 10th, Lord willing, I will begin preaching through the book of 2 Corinthians. This will be our series for the next several months. In preparation for this series, I would like to take two of our Sunday School hours to teach o...n the background of this letter. On May 3rd, we will look at the history of the Apostle Paul's relationship with the Corinthian church. On May 10th, we will look at an overview of the structure of the letter and its themes. Please attend if you want to understand the letter in a deeper way! That being said, we are hoping to record these lessons and I will send out notes so you can follow along as I teach. We will still be using Microsoft Teams to facilitate the study. Sunday Attendance Rotation: This past week we sent out a survey to all the members and attenders. We asked you if you would like to be part of a rotation that would allow you to attend the Sunday Service once every few weeks. We must limit the number of people to 15 or under, but this means that we can still have some individuals or families assemble for the service. Some face-to-face fellowship is better than none! If you have not filled that survey out yet, and you would like to attend the church every now and then, please fill it out or contact me directly. We hope to invite some of you this Sunday. Prayer Meeting: Our monthly prayer meeting will be held on Tuesday, May 5th from 7pm to 8:15pm. We will be sending out invites to the Microsoft Teams meeting, and some are welcome to come to the church as well (again, as long as we don't exceed the 15 person limit). Let me or Tyler Whitford know if you would like to come to the church.

Evening Coram Deo! This post is to inform you that Adult Sunday School and Behold Your God are starting again this week. We only have a few weeks left in each of these courses, and we know you all are hungry to study the Word of God, so we thought best to finish up these courses in the ways we can. These studies have not changed, but the medium has. We will not be meeting in person, since our government is still asking us to keep gatherings limited. Below are details on how w...e will operate the studies. If you're a part of Behold Your God, Tyler Whitford should have already gotten a hold of you and sent you a link to the videos on Vimeo and a Microsoft Teams meeting tonight (Wednesday) at 6:45pm. If you haven't been contacted, or need more info, contact Tyler. If you were a part of the Sunday School before our hiatus, you know we were going through a series on the 9 Marks of a Healthy Church, a great resource that helps us think through our own church health and how we can nurture it. Brent has been leading this study, and he'll continue where he left off (the last lesson was on evangelism). We will start at the normal time (9:15am) on Sunday morning via a Microsoft Teams meeting, which we will invite everyone to. We will break to watch the video, and then get back on the meeting for discussion time. Everyone has access to Right Now Media, where the study videos can be watched. Just make sure you have it loaded up and ready Sunday morning if you want to participate! If you are in need of handout packages, we will get that to you on Sunday morning via the chat function in the Teams meeting. Thank you all for your patience during this time! It’s that time of the month and unfortunately we can not meet together as a Church. We encourage you all to take the time to pray this evening as we are a body that is separated by space but united by the Spirit. May we also be looking forward to that day when we can gather again for the prayer meeting. As we always have been hearing from Spurgeon at our prayer meetings let him spur us on.
