OCT OAK BAY WINE CLUB After successfully launching our very own wine club last month, we are pleased to announce our second release. Our focus for October is Veneto:More than just Prosecco and bulk Pinot Grigio from Stile Brands Agency. This box focuses on the areas of Soave, Valpolicella and Breganze in the Veneto region of Northern Italy. Each pack will include two of each of the following wines: Ca'Rugate Monte Firoentine Soave Classico DOC - a vibrant white ...wine made from 100% Garganega from Soave in the Province of Verona. Extreme vibrant acidity gives this white an edgy and intense character. Full and flavourful with lots of green-apple and sliced lemon notes. Tedeschi 'Capitel San Rocco' Valpolicella Ripasso - a complex and structured red wine from Valpolicella in the Province of Verona. Earthy aromas, along with notes of raisin and berries. On the palate - succulent black cherry, nutmeg, mint and chocolate notes. Maculan Brentino Merlot Cabernet Sauvignon - an approachable, juicy and full-bodied red wine from Breganze in the Province of Vicenza. Herb and smoke notes lead the way, layered with juicy acidity and flavours of black currant, plum, olive and woodsy spice. Our #featurewinery for September is @lakebreezevineyards and today we review the delicious and delectable 2018 Pinot Noir. The nose is super floral at first but with subtle hints of sage and other herbal notes. There’s also baking spices and cherries lingering in the background. On the palate we get vanilla and those cherries and baking spices again along with a little cranberry.
