Volunteers are working virtually, making appointments, checking in with clients by home, and assisting in loaning out walkers, bath seats and other health equipment to people recovering from injury or illness at home. This past Sunday we looked at the first letter Paul wrote to the Thessalonian believers to see how thankfulness motivates and even facilitates witness to the Good News of Jesus Christ. Did these first Century saints plan a national or global campaign of Gospel witness? There is no evidence of such a strategy. What we do see is that they were serious about Gospel in every day life. A big thanks to Ridge Church (@ridge_church) for hosting a Children’s Ministry meeting last week! We were able to meet in a safe space and discuss how different churches are continuing to minister to kids during COVID. It was such a huge encouragement to see how God has been working throughout these times so that our kids would know Jesus!

This afternoon new BC Health orders were announced which restrict in-person worship services until December 7. Here are the ways we are adjusting at Cornerston...e in the coming days... PRAYER - Join us on Sundays (in spirit) at 10 am for a time of pre-service prayer. Wherever you pray, remember the reality that believers are united in the Holy Spirit! December 6 at 7 pm is our next Prayer Connect with Diego Cardona joining us from Colombia by Zoom. WORSHIP - Once again we will be providing an online worship service. You will be able to access the service from either our website or the Cornerstone YouTube channel. KIDS - Our Children’s Coordinator prepares Dig In @ Home activity sheets each week, which you will find on our website. HOMES - Our Home Groups will still be connecting each week through Zoom.
