Cornwall Hearing Aid Clinic is pleased to offer Telecare Services. TeleCare is the provision of hearing healthcare services remotely by using modern telecommunication systems including wireless communication. Adjustments can be made to your hearing devices remotely and safely-there is no need to come into the clinic with this technology. This may benefit the patient and the clinician by allowing adjustments to be done in a timely manner. This provides an alternative way f...or our clinicians to connect with our patients and their families who are living with hearing loss. If you have a smartphone, you may be able to access this service. Currently, those that wear products from Oticon, Phonak or Signia may be able to benefit from these unique services. Not all hearing devices are compatible for this technology-but most newer technology is. Adjustments are targeted at sound quality issues. During these unprecedented times, it is vital that we maintain our physical distance, yet be able to service our clients effectively. To arrange an appointment for these services, or to see if your current amplification is compatible, please call the clinic at 613 703-6614

In light of the current situation with COVID-19, Cornwall Hearing Aid Clinic will be closed to the public for now. We will reassess the situation on a daily basis. Our Associations are in agreement with this decision. Many of our procedures require close and personal contact rendering social distancing an impossible task. Since many of the people we see are vulnerable to this virus, it is our social responsibility to do our part, listen to the medical professionals and minimize the potential risk of transmission. As per the recommendation of Ottawas Medical Officer of Health and Government Officials-Stay home and limit social gatherings. We will keep you apprised of our situation. Please stay safe....

Did you know that the newest Apple Watch has a dangerous noise alert feature? A significant amount of hearing loss and tinnitus is preventable. Per the Centers ...of Disease Control, about 40 million North-American adults aged 20-69 have hearing damage in one or both ears that may be due to noise exposure. Consistent use of ear protection in very noisy settings can reduce hearing loss and tinnitus. Please wear ear muffs or ear plugs! We want to help protect one of your most valued assets, your hearing and ability to communicate! #thinkprevention #thinkaudiology #oapac See more
