Many, many layers.
Don’t let a win get to close to your head And don’t let a loss... get too close to your heart. Public Enemy
Gettin’ close.
A while ago I heard an artist talk about how they remove the layers or take away what’s not necessary in order to show or expose the art, ... what the artist sees: The Artists Value. I can relate somewhat, though really can mostly relate poetically through in of the process of, and accomplishments of, my first love: establishing bouldering areas & sending First-Accents; trail building and boulder hunting. I live a lucky life. It’s a beach! ***~~~Go make something~~~***
Make art. Find art. Show art. Have a fart. Is that a haiku? I joke...I rhyme.... Not this time.
I feel so lucky... to be crazy enough, to be...... an artist.
Diggin’ on that my hat glows in the dark! It’s my favourite yet. I’ll be making more. P.M. me to order.
When the doors open... Thanks @jtiezy on Instagram, wicked shoot!
So honoured and stoked, was asked to do a Cortez abstract painting demo, at Opus in N.Vancouver. This Saturday February 1st. My art is enormously influenced by this store. The super useful help from the staff and all the weird examples around of how to use products...dunno where I’d be without Opus. Shout out to Opus. More than an art supply store. It’s the fountain of the art scene. Thanks Opus.
Cheers to all, So appreciate the support. Being an Artist, I feel doomed in my mind & yet, equally feel lucky to feel the need to create.... The Artisan apartment building on Main Street & 2nd Ave, has glass window art displays, access 24hrs/day. Check it out if you get a chance.
Hard time of year for many. Taking self time and holding space for self care, makes me a nicer person and more available for others. Be nice.
20 minute special.
Battle weapon. Made it into the final round with this one. Super fun!
