clearly whoever came up with this latest threat didn't think it through. We are in the middle of a global pandemic that not only has led to massive job losses in all sectors, but has made online access essential for immune compromise and those searching for work. Internet is included in your rent as is water, sewer, garbage and cable. If you are experiencing financial difficulties as a home owner and are affected by your services bing shut off off, you can make a complaint in writing with Calgay East MLA Peter Singh and Service Alberta Minister Nate Glubish who is working on the #MHSTA file. An easy to use web form for residents to file complaints will be available soon.

Many Calgary Village single parent homeowners are trying to figure out how they will pay the bills with the EI top up/CERB maxed at $2000 a month when lot rent is $1075 and $1115 (yes there are homeowners paying $1115). Is it really too much to ask that Cove Communities lower the rent or offer deferrals while we are under a health crisis now that low oil is expected to result in a 25% unemployment rate? Or will threats of evictions and fees be a reality the next few months?

CERB applications didn't open until April 6th and residents that had made partial payments and contacted the office received the threat April 9th. It's strongly suggested you use email to communicate with your office so you have a paper trail.
