The CCNL Gallery is excited to present Places Familiar by Catherine Wright a beautiful textile exhibition in our Annex Gallery space. Catherine Wright creates silk works in the landscape using traditional and experimental techniques in a process that is direct and intuitive. Resulting works are layered, rich in colour and texture, and speak of the places and moments in which they were created: beaches, gardens, arbour, marsh. The exhibit includes unique wearable scarves, wall-hangings and related photos expressions of Catherine’s exploration of impermanence and change within the continuity of places of importance in her life.
