Our JK's and Prechool two's have been busy exploring letters, shapes and numbers over the last few days. Building on on fine motor skills, recognition, counting and language all through play.

It truly is hard to believe we are in our fifth week of re-opening! Things are exceptionally well, the children are happy adjusting to new routines and schedules already. It really has been smiles all around and when we leave at the end of the day, we truly feel so accomploished we are doing what we can to provide you the best CCLC we can be. It's easier for us to say this so we get you need to hear it from parents in the same boat as you, take a read for yourselves. Hi Everyone, Sorry for the late post, it's been a long but amazing day. It seemed like forever since we closed our doors to our families and there were times, it would take a toll on us emotionally not knowing what was next. But today gave us a greater sense of spirit and an enormous burst of energy seeing our families return to our CCLC home. We have worked tirelessly over the last few weeks to prepare for this day ensuring all our guidelines and protocols were in place... and I truly am very fortunate to have the most supportive team to work with. We want to thank you for putting us ease as well. We all felt very pleased today with drop offs and the kids themselves; everyone was in great spirits and your comfort gave us comfort which is an incredible gift to. It's a very unsettling time for the world and although we can't control every aspect in the outside world, in our little CCLC world, we put all our energy in ensuring our families and our staff are safe. For that, we want to thank you for being so patient and supportive over the months but mainly for the warm energy you provided us today. It's almost here! Happy Saturday!

Its been a very busy 3 weeks but we are looking soooo forward to welcoming back our CCLC families! Although things will seem a little different for everyone as we begin to navigate our new normal remember we are all in this together. We have the hardest working childcare TEAM...it truly takes a big supportive caring family to make all of this a reality!

Parents we are so excited to have you back, the countdown is on! Our team has been working tirelessly to prepare for the safest return for all our families and we thank you for all your patience and support. It took a while but that's how long we needed to bring us to the level of service we want to provide you, which is the best. No short cuts here at CCLC, training, equipment, new guidelines, everything NOW IN PLACE. So that's it, July 6th is the day we CCLC returns for our little friends, 4 more sleeps!

Hello Parents, First, we want to thank all those who participated in our Zoom Q&A last night, it was great to see your faces and hear your concerns. Your concerns and questions, are all valid and we assure you, we are right there with you.... We are also so happy we put so many of you at ease. We know this is just a unique time that not one of us have ever encountered before and we promise you, your child's safety encountered before and we promise you, your child's safety is always our number 1 priority. We feel over this past 12 weeks, CCLC has shown how much our extended CCLC community means to us through our various ways of outreach. We have never once not been here to address any concerns or disengaged with our families, there is a reason we are still here today after 19 years, we care about you and we care about our families. Moving forward, because that's all we can do, we have implemented some guidelines to transition into welcoming our little friends back into our own CCLC home. We are aiming to open the week of July 6th as many preparations are underway. This way, you can all ease into the return and enjoy a long weekend together before we resume to our new normal. In the meantime, we cant wait to have you back. We are already near capacity with just a few spots left. We thank you for making this transition with us, your support and comfort in our new guidelines really confirmed your trust in our abilities and our caring team here at CCLC

TWO VERY IMPORTANT ANNOUNCEMENTS: Parents/Guardians We have been given notice that all childcare centre's in the Province of Ontario are able to reopen effective June 12th. Our team will begin the necessary steps to ensure all procedures and approved policies are in place prior to reopening. Our CCLC team is working diligently to open as soon as we are deemed safe to do so.... TOMORROW NIGHT, you will be sent a survey by regarding reopening. Please complete the survey no later then Friday June 12th. THIS IS CRUCIAL AS WE MOVE FORWARD TO HEAR YOUR FEEDBACK. This survey will allow us to plan effectively as we proceed with our reopening plan. A separate survey and information will be sent out shortly regarding our Summer Camp for those families requiring care for their school age children (Stella Maris). Thank you in advance for your cooperation and patience. PLEASE UNDERSTAND, even though the gov't has the given the green light for childcare centres to open, we are simply not prepared to adequately and safely open in a matter of 72hrs. There is an incredible amount of logistics and measures to put in place to ensure our children are safe. We are working around the clock to get prepared and are aiming to have all the protocols, inspections, approvals in place for the week of June 22. Today, the Association of Early Childhood Educators Ontario (AECEO) and the Ontario Coalition for Better Child Care (OCBCC) released a report called: From Reopening to Recovery: A Plan for Child Care Reopening in Ontario and Moving to a Publicly Funded System. This report outlines steps needed to ensure a safe and healthy reopening of child care centres. Inorder to achieve this, we would need adequate funding and support for educators and programs. COVID-19 has placed a sign...ificant financial strain on our centre and other crntres in Ontario. We agree that reopening in phases is necessary to ensure safety yet at 30% capacity, we would require an increase in funding to do it safely and assure that centres would be sustainable. We have decided to host the pizza draw every 2-3 weeks to allow for possible other creative and fun activities to take place to keep our families engaged. We know this is a tough time to keep the kids excited and happy and we are here to guide if you need it. Looking back, we can't actually believe how much we all kept connected while apart, that certainly is not an easy task so we thank you for being part of us as much as we are trying to stay apart of your lives! Who knew w...e would still be in this situation for this long! Now, looking forward it's always good to take a moment and assess what's to come next for our families as we continue into the next phase. Staying stagnant and disengaged is not an option here at CCLC. We don't want to be strangers to your kids when we do see their cute faces walk through our building one day soon!
