Nori came in for a Halloween visit. Yes, she's real.

Alley is a juvenile bearded dragon looking for her new home. She is very active and loves climbing or exploring. She would be happiest in a 4x2x2 (or larger) enclosure, a tube UVB bulb that's the length of the tank, a basking spot of 105F measured with a digital probe thermometer, lots of branches and foliage to climb around on and a top soil/play sand mixture for substrate. Call the store and ask for the reptile department for any further information.

Hello all, are you looking for hamsters we have baby Syrian hamsters hand raised. If you are looking for a dwarf hamster we have female robos.

A couple of days ago when I got home from work, I had a scare with Ivy (my rabbit). She was in a heatstroke induced GI stasis. This is the silent killer of rabbits. The cause of stasis could be stress, high starch and low fiber diet, pain and tooth spurs. Symptoms include no fecal pellets, a hunched posture, loss of appetite for hay (or denying their favorite treat), lethargic and unresponsive.... Treatment should be a vet immediately. If untreated, death is a sure thing. Other treatments could include pain medication to help ease discomfort due to gas build up, IV fluids, syringe feeding critical care, providing fresh and wet leafy greens. When I found Ivy, she was hunched in a spot she normally doesn't hang out. When I picked her up she didn't try to get away and she let me touch her back feet. She wouldn't eat anything and had no desire to move. I called W.A.V.E.S. but they didn't have a vet who felt comfortable treating rabbits working that night. I ended up making a smoothie with some water, cilantro, parsley and blueberry to syringe feed her. I put a wet wash cloth on her ears to help cool her off and turned on the fan. After 20 minutes of monitoring she hopped around, ate a piece of hay and then drank some water on her own. She managed to bounce back and all is good now thankfully. With the days getting hotter, rabbits can over heat quickly. We have chill stones for sale. Run it under cold water upside down and then put it in the fridge for 4+ hours. Pull it out and place it in your pets fave hang out spot. Good for chinchillas, rats, rabbits and guinea pigs. If I hadn't noticed the signs of stasis this story may have had a different outcome. Thank you to my awesome co worker Haylo who helped me remain calm and with her extensive knowledge in animal care, was able to talk me through some ideas. If anyone has questions about stasis or small animal care please don't hesitate to ask. We are here to help you and your pets.

My Creatures Family I just need to get this off my chest. We are disgusted and revolted at the profanity of names Matthieu Douglas called Serena on our facebook page. This is after our staff member Serena commented on his post regarding our store and fish department and customer service. If you go to serena nazaroff on facebook you can see screen shots of his original comments in her post, since he deleted them. We all need to get behind Serena and show that we have ZERO TOLERANCE for this kind of abuse!!!

Attention Great News We have just received a large fish shipment in our store. Bad News we have to shut down the live fish section to put them all away. We will be opening that section back up after 2:30 this afternoon. Thank you for your understanding, sorry for the inconvenience. We are grateful that we at are able to still get fish in for our customers.
