Today is a special day in our history. On September 10, 1989, we welcomed the Cunard Princess, marking the beginning of cruise in our Port city. After 31 years, many new attractions and adventures have come on the scene, but our reputation as "one of the friendliest cities" remains. We're so proud of what our tourism partners and cruise champions have accomplished over the past three decades, and know their resilience will carry them well when cruise returns. #SaintAwesome #StillAwesome Article: Telegraph-Journal archives

Today's the day! Our "Port Saint John Dynamo" is retiring and well wishes from around the world have been pouring in. Today, we're celebrating Betty's 36 years building the cruise industry in our region and relishing in the fact that we've got the best of the best right here in Saint John. Congratulations on a remarkable legacy, Betty. https://bit.ly/3eg5gtq
Though COVID-19 may have altered our traditional festivities, we hope you'll celebrate a happy and safe Canada Day from a distance today!
Did you catch this weekend's Telegraph-Journal - Saint John article on Cruise Development Manager Betty MacMillan? Gearing up for her well-deserved retirement, Betty reflected on bringing cruise to our city and her successful career with reporter Emma McPhee. Though her final season may not look as we'd envisioned, Betty's commitment, perseverance and collaboration have made waves in our community and laid a strong foundation for the future. Thank you, Betty. https://bit.ly/37zB5eW
This May long weekend kicks off a summer of uncharted territory for our region and province. The tourism season we're used to is on hold for 2020, but we're holding out hope for a big and bright 2021. Now more than ever, it's important to #SupportLocal and #ExploreNB. The strides we've made as a province during the COVID-19 pandemic are inspiring. We're proud of New Brunswickers and hope you and your families stay safe, healthy and hopeful. #NBAlways https://bit.ly/2zMJPl5
Statement Regarding Delayed Start of 2020 Cruise Season The health and safety of our employees, their families and our community are our top priorities and, as ...such, we respect the decision of the federal government to delay the start of cruise season for ships carrying more than 500 people (passengers and crew combined) until July 1, 2020. For our Port, this will mean the loss of 18 cruise ship calls and approximately 41,600 passengers. Our 2020 season is still strong from July through to end of October, with approximately two-thirds of ships visiting in September and October. This is an unprecedented situation and decisions such as these are made with the health and safety of all Canadians in mind. We will continue to strengthen our best practices and prevention efforts with respect to COVID-19. We will also continue to collaborate with government and health officials and to communicate with our cruise line partners on their mitigation efforts. #coronavirus #COVID19 #prevention
Considering the recent global events surrounding the Novel Coronavirus (COVID-19), we’d like to reassure the community that Port Saint John is taking COVID-19 and its potential ramifications very seriously. Read the full statement here: http://bit.ly/2W58k6l

We're pleased to congratulate Lynn Adams of Ambassatours Gray Line for receiving the Tour Guide of the Year award at the Saint John Hospitality awards dinner last week! A special recognition also goes out to Bernadette Fowler and Paula Cullinan of Aquila Tours - Bay of Fundy Shore Excursions who were also finalists for this award. Through voting and guest comments, these individuals were recognized for consistently going above and beyond the call of duty. This year’s Tour Guide of the Year in particular received rave reviews from passengers for her informative tours and skillful use of humour.
