Members Only! Project Mapleseed is coming to Crumlin in October 25th/2020. What is Project Mapleseed?... Project Mapleseed is an apolitical rifle marksmanship training program that focuses on teaching traditional rifle marksmanship from standing, sitting/kneeling, and prone positions in a one day shooting clinic termed a "Mapleseed". We are a non-profit, all volunteer run organization commited to helping Canadians develop fundamental marksmanship skills and in the safe handling of firearms. Why should I participate? Project Mapleseed is challenging, educational, engaging and fun! We want to share our proud history and build a solid foundation for growth. Project Mapleseed’s goal is to introduce current and future firearm enthusiasts to essential safety and marksmanship skills along with sharing the important role of firearms in Canadian history. In sharing this history, we hope to encourage these individuals to help preserve our firearms heritage and freedoms in Canada. To sign up: https://www.eventbrite.ca/e/mapleseed-cusf-crumlin-sportsma

Lights have been installed and we are able to shoot from the bench. Firearms permitted are: Handguns22 RF riflesPCC... Thursday starting at 6:30 a Range Officer will be in attendance to run the generator and control the range. If there are no shooters by 7:15 the range will be closed for the remainder of the night. Targets easily seen. Parking lot lit too. LED’s at work! See more

FYI when you notice the PPC area on Range 5A is clean, raked and weed free Please thank Fitz and Kevin who were out early this morning completed it all. Also Dusko was busy repairing target frames in the shed. There are usually many maintenance jobs to be done if you are worried about not getting your 8 volunteer hours in this year.

Responsible gun owners are paying the price for criminal activity. Sweeping bans in rushed laws are punishing them for the actions of law-breakers. Sign the petition to support them!

From the CSSA.. Ontario Gun Clubs and Shooting Ranges to Reopen For Immediate Release ... May 14, 2020 OSHAWA The Canadian Shooting Sports Association is very pleased to learn that effective Tuesday, May 19, 2020, gun clubs in Ontario will be able to re-open their doors for business. The announcement was made today by Ontario Premier Doug Ford at his daily news conference. With Ontario’s COVID-19 health indicators continuing to improve, individual recreational sports including both indoor and outdoor gun clubs have been included as part of the first stage in the government’s reopening framework. In this cautious approach to reopening the province, workplace safety for both staff and the general public will be a priority. We want to thank Premier Ford for his wise and measured leadership as Ontario continues to navigate the COVID-19 pandemic, stated CSSA Executive Director Tony Bernardo. Our Ontario members are keen to head back to the range for some long overdue sport shooting and competition events, and I know they will take every precaution to ensure that all public health guidelines are respected so that the province can continue its efforts to carefully reopen." 30 For more information contact: Tony Bernardo Executive Director 905-571-2150 [email protected]
