Connecting via Zoom this morning with our fantastic church family!!

A big day at the church yard today! Painting/Staining the outside trim in the morning. And then moving in a huge rock for our new sign in the afternoon. A LOT of grunt work by many amazing helping hands.

Our pastor Erin Morash recently recorded this for our wider Manitoba Mennonite church family. It's a reflection on our journey to join the two churches she lead...s, Crystal City Mennonite and Trinity Mennonite Fellowship in Mather. It's a hopeful story despite the delays and hiccups that the pandemic has thrown our way. Well done Erin!

It was inevitable but still disappointing to get the final word that this summer's play will be canceled.

Since we didn't have a homegrown sermon yesterday, here are some family notes to share with you. Dave Reimer is in the Crystal City Hospital after suffering a fall at home about a week ago. He injured his back and is recovering slowly. Elaine has been staying with Emily and they're hopeful that Dave can return home later this week. Elaine says that they are able to visit with Dave outside his hospital window (see picture attached) and chat using FaceTime and iPads. If you're ...interested in doing this, you can connect with him and his iPad using his email address [email protected]. If you're planning to look in on him through his hospital window, you should call ahead to the hospital (looking in random windows might seem weird otherwise ) Henry Reimer has been in the CC hospital since last Friday. Tina is staying there as well with him to keep him company. They are (conveniently) next door to Dave. Lil says he's doing fine and will likely be returning home in the next day or two. He feels fine but was under observation while his medication was being adjusted - just as a precaution. Respecting people's privacy is important and I've contacted each of the families here to get their permission to share. If you know of someone who needs prayer support or who's experiencing health issues or perhaps something on a happier note, we'd like to share those with our church family. Please forward them to me or to Sharon Wieler - ensuring of course that those involved are OK with it.
