Dear Capital City Championships Competitors, Instructors, Teammates and Families, After many many hours this week, (10+ today alone) Sensei Ryan has completed t...he schedule for this weekend. We have had a lot of little challenges and hurdles, but have had to be patient and get through them all to try and ensure every competitor will have the best day possible this Saturday. Thank you for your patience with us working through this and thank you for being so diligent in referring to the Competitors List, double checking for mistakes for us, and bringing them to our attention when you found them. The reason I wanted to do the online registration and have an online Competitors List is, I really like the idea of seeing who you is in your division leading up to the tournament. I think it makes it more exciting, and allows people to know that they will have competitors to match up against. This will allow people to travel to our (yours and ours) Capital tournament from much further away, thus generating even more plentiful and diverse opponents for everyone to meet, challenge and be challenged by. So please click the link below to go to the long awaited Tournament Division and Match Estimated Schedule. We’d love to get the word out to everyone that will coming this Saturday. The building doesn't open until 8 am. -A good idea for the rest of the day is to arrive at the venue 90 minutes before the start of your division, as you will be called to the Bull Pen (division organizing area), well before your matches being. -All BJJ, No Gi and Muay Thai competitors must weight in each time you/they compete in a division. -Review the rules of the divisions you are competing in before the tournament. -When you enter the Field House building (gym) turn left and go to the athlete registration area to get your wristband. -Spectators are $5, CASH ONLY. -The brackets will be posted along the wall to your right as you enter the Field House (gym). -Be in the competition area and listen for your bracket to be called to the BULL PEN up to an hour before the scheduled start of the division. -Please remember that the schedule was set up the way it is to eliminate conflicts for competitors that are doing more than one style, as that was always a be waiting point that we couldn't start a division because somebody was over there in another ring competing. But please remember, there may still be some conflicts as it's impossible to tell the future an what details of the day might play out regarding injury time etc. Lastly, please take a minute to say thank you to any or all of our volunteers working the various jobs and duties at the tournament. We have a really awesome team this year and every volunteer from the scorekeepers to the Judges, the ring coordinators to the Registration committee, are all very excited about this years changes and excited to make the tournament very enjoyable for you, the competitors and families.
