Hello again, our second give back is going to be a food drive. On December 10 we will have a Santa drive by and collect food for the food bank, we will also be giving a goody bag. Basically you come and drive in to the parking lot we will have Santa and some elfs also some other funny characters. Good morning everyone :) This is one of our plans for xmas this year and giving back, We are going to be collecting toys or donations for "Toy Mountain" . if you would like to help us in doing this you can bring a new toy or a donation $ to the Lodge. even if it is only 2$ every little bit helps to put a smile on the children's faces. This year has been a crazy year and now more then ever there are people all over that need our help. Even though our residents are here on a subsidy they still want to give back this year more then ever. Good morning everyone I would just like to say a BIG thank you to all the residents here at Cumberland Lodge for being understanding and working with us as we try to keep you all safe from this Virus. I know it is hard and sometimes your anxiety leave is high, as a staff I am always here for you guys and we will get threw this:) All the staff are fantastic we are doing everything we can to make sure our residents stay safe, We are one big Family here at the Lodge:) 'We can do this"

Another week has passed and we are all still doing well!! Public Health and the Ministry of Health are telling us that these next two weeks could be very tough. With that in mind, we are continuing to be as vigilant as before with our well-being checks by taking the temps of each resident 4 times a day and each staff member's twice per shift as well as when they walk through the front door before their shift begins. If any resident presents with any known symptoms, such as ...fever or cough, they will be isolated in their room immediately, but they will also be isolated if any unusual symptoms show up. Staff will use full personal protective equipment when entering their room. Our sanitizing practices will also continue as usual, the full building at least three times per day. And spot cleans throughout the shifts as well. All staff are wearing masks at all times in the building, and washing/sanitizing non-stop. We are going to need lots of hand cream when this is all over! The residents have all been advised to stay in their rooms for the best protection however they are still free to move about the Lodge. Most residents have chosen to stay in their rooms. When they do come out they are very mindful about distancing. Friendly reminders from family members about staying inside would be helpful! The staff also have all been asked to keep their outside movements between home and work only. Please remember that if you are bringing any goods to a resident, all drop offs are to be at the front door. It is imperative that it is a staff member who answers the front door. No resident is to be opening the door. We need to make sure that proper sanitizing is taking place. But over the last two weeks we have had to step in to prevent family hugs and it is heartbreaking for us to have to do that. We closed off part of our parking lot to prevent people from using their back doors for deliveries and pick ups. Thank you for your understanding and cooperation with this. A reminder that we have the tablets set up and ready to go for video calls. Let me know if you want to do this and we'll get it organized. Good morning I would just like to "Thank all of you that have donated Masks" we do appreciate all of you and your support during this time:) We are all being positive here at the Lodge we are all still smiling and once in while we may sing and dance as we go down the hall, the residents love it they can hear us from their rooms:) Happy Easter to you all and stay safe :)

Hello everyone hope you are all well and staying safe:) Here at the Lodge we are doing room service, our dinning room is closed our doors are locked all staff are changing into our work clothes once we get here,and when we leave we change back into our home clothes, we are all wearing masks and washing our hands alot. We care for our residents and doing our best to keep them all safe from this virus :)

Coronavirus What are We Doing About It? We take the health and safety of our residents and staff very seriously. Because of this we have now implemented new protocols for visitors entering our building. All family and visitors must enter the building through the front door, all other doors are locked from the outside. If the front door is locked, please ring the door bell. Before you enter the building you will need to do a self-assessment to screen for symptoms. If y...ou have answered yes to any of the questions below, you will not be allowed to enter Cumberland Lodge. 1. Within the past 14 days I have travelled to a location where COVID19 has been diagnosed 2. Within the past 14 days I have been in close contact with people who have travelled to an area where COVID19 has been diagnosed 3. Within the past 14 days I have been sick with a cold or flu 4. Within the last 7 days I have had a fever, sore throat, cough, runny nose, difficulty breathing, cold, or flu 5. Within the past 14 days I have been around people who have been sick with a cold or flu Once you are in the building you will need to fill out a questionnaire and give it to a staff member.
