PRACTICE
Mr. Garson has a broad mediation practice having mediated over 3200 cases in Nova Scotia, New Brunswick, Prince Edward Island, Newfoundland and Labrador, Ontario, Quebec and Alberta during the last fifteen years. He has successfully guided parties to resolutions of personal injury claims, property losses, wrongful dismissal actions, federal and provincial human rights complaints, shareholder and partnership disputes, construction claims, contract disputes, professional negligence (including lawyers, doctors, dentists, physiotherapists, architects and engineers), stockbroker and securities fraud and defamation claims.

Mr. Garson has also been appointed sole arbitrator on more than 20 complex commercial, construction and contract disputes.

Mr. Garson continues to maintain a select advocate's practice in civil, commercial and criminal cases, appearing at all levels of Court. He also represents professionals (lawyers, accountants, veterinarians) on discipline/professional responsibility matters before their governing bodies. He has represented clients in international arbitrations in London, Paris, New York, Johannesburg, Istanbul, New Delhi and Singapore.

Curragh Inc.)

Retained by the Department of Justice (Canada) to represent the Crown on appeals before the Nova Scotia Court of Appeal and the Supreme Court of Canada from a trial decision to stay charges of conspiracy to traffic in narcotics (R. v. lnnocente).
