Many wild pigs reported in Ontario are pot-bellied pigs roaming freely. Any pig outside of a fence can threaten Ontario’s native species and agriculture industr...y by spreading disease, impacting habitats and competing with native wildlife. Help protect Ontario’s native species and keep your pigs safe by keeping them enclosed. Learn more about proper fencing and small scale pig production at: https://www.ontario.ca/page/reporting-wild-pigs-ontario. See more

CWHC Atlantic's Tessa McBurney and national bat WNS program coordinator Jordi Segers are delivering online bat monitoring workshops to partners in all the Atlantic provinces. They received the Echo MeterTouch 2 Pro from Wildlife Acoustics, Inc. to help demonstrate the various types of acoustic bat detectors that are available. The delivery of these workshops is part of CWHC Atlantic's Habitat Stewardship Program titled "Stewardship for Protection and Monitoring of Atlantic Canada's Endangered Bat Species" in partnership with Environment and Climate Change Canada and the departments of natural resources of all four Atlantic provinces.
