Foreign nationals, who fear persecution, who are at serious risk of harm and who cannot get protection in their own country often seek refuge in Canada. People who are recognized as refugees are allowed to stay in Canada and may apply for permanent residence status, and eventually may apply to become Canadian citizens. Give us a call for more information
Former workers, students, and visitors whose status expired after January 30, 2020, and who remained in Canada will now have until December 31, 2020, to apply to restore their status, provided they meet the requirements for the type of status and authorization they are applying to restore.
If you have an application that has been refused and is considering making an application for restoration, make sure that you immediately contact a lawyer at Damini law Firm who will be happy to meet with you and inform on what your next steps should be.
Canada is making the Open Work Permit Pilot (OWPP) a permanent program, so the spouses and common-law partners of Canadians can continue to work while waiting on their permanent resident status. The program began in December 2014, and was set to expire on July 31 after its most recent extension. Instead of setting another expiry date, Canada is now extending the program until the regulatory changes have been completed to implement the pilot as permanent policy.
A PGWP can only be extended under specific circumstances. If you did not receive a work permit for the full amount of time you were eligible for due to the expiry of your passport, you may need to apply to extend using your new passport. (1/2) :::IRCC

Make a Will You should definitely need a Will if you have substantial assets or if you have children. While estate law will divide your estate among the family if you die without a Will, according to succession laws but it may not do so in the way that you would like it to be done
Request for Review If the BC PNP refuses an application (i.e. declined under section 4(1)(b) of the Act), that person has a right to request a review of the decision. All requests for a review of a decision must be made within 30 calendar days of the date of the decision notice if the applicant is a resident in Canada, or 60 calendar days of the date of the decision notice if the applicant is not a resident in Canada.
