Salon Policies and Changes Dear Clients, As I approach returning back to work, I have been developing some new policies and will be adapting to any changes needed by WorkSafeBC and BC Beauty Council. Please know it will not be business as usual. Personal services can not allow for social distancing, so I must work within my own comfort zone to open my doors and hope you are patient with me. At this stage/phase I will NOT be accepting any new clients. ... Booking online appointments has been changed slightly and will need to be approved by stylist upon scheduling. Anyone that has been off island in the past 14 days, or around a person who has travelled in the past 14 days must wait until self isolation is over. No exceptions. Anyone who has a cough, fever, aches, runny nose, headache or any illness must cancel appointment and reschedule for a later date. Clients are to remain in their vehicle or outside salon until stylist sends a text, calls or gets you outside. Every client must wear a mask to recieve personal service. If you do not have one, you can purchase a disposable surgical mask at salon. Only one client at a time in salon. One child, one parent is acceptable (if child is getting a haircut) or someone is assisting a family member. To ensure your health and safety as well as mine I have the required valid provincial beauty safe courses. I also have gone beyond and have taken over a dozen educational certification courses on sanitation, Covid-19, pandemic awareness, pathology, hand hygiene, beauty industry hygiene, etc. Once directed to enter salon wearing a mask, hand sanitizer will be available and required to use. Every client will have clean cape. One cape per client. All used towels, capes, and aprons will be stored properly in closed container in a closed room away from salon area. All surfaces, hair chair, sinks, combs, scissors, clippers, blades, brushes, clips, etc.. will all be sanitized in between clients. Waiting area, neck brushes, magazines, and coffee/tea bar have been removed to reduce contact points. Do not not bring food or snacks into the salon please. Please know, that after each service there is a minimum 15 minute sanitation clean up to ensure the health of the next client. At this time, some services are NOT available until further notice. This includes -Hair washing (unless you recieve a single process chemical service) -Blow drying - Facial hair, beard or moustache trims -Creative Colors -Keratin Smoothing Treatments -Blow outs Due to all these changes, prices have increased. Stylist must spend a minimum of 15 mins cleaning, sanitizing, sterilizing tools, and added laundry services in between every client. I appreciate all of your support and patience during this different time we are facing. I look forward to seeing you. Many thanks. Stay safe

A client sent me this yesterday. To avoid this look perhaps we should set up some FaceTime bang appointments over the next little while. Stay safe everyone

Providing hair services does not allow social distancing. I’ve come to the conclusion at this time for the safety of my clients, family and myself it is important to close my salon. Thank you for understanding. Take care.
