That's enough flowers for now. Here's a badass robo-gunner. ...and his dog.
Steel roses, slightly colourized with airbrushed metallic, an experiment.
"Mechanical Chameleon" A steampunk reptile I made from a chevy truck roof and motorcycle parts.
Same theme, different shape scraps.
It's taken some hammering, bending, a few do-overs and re-thinks, as well as looking at several pictures to see what a real rose looks like, but I think I have the steel rose idea worked out.
A custom wine rack, it needed to be able to hang on the wall.
I started over again a few times on this one, a Great Blue Heron, I had to figure out how to do the neck. It has a fish in it's mouth, a steelhead I think. While I was taking the pictures it caught the attention of a dragonfly.
I dragged this old milk can out of the dump years ago, carted it around, planted things in it, stood trim lumber up in it, tripped over it, finally said "I gotta do something cool with this". I ground 90% of the old paint off with a flap disc, 2 coats of clear to preserve the patina, then hand painted the grass/flowers with a buegler wheel. I don't know what the flowers are called, but we have some in our yard.
Another Springer Spaniel, made by request.
"Old number 7" Some exhaust tubing, crank bearings, broken spokes, chain tensioners, and you have a locomotive.
