When they aren't pruning trees, the farmers and team are busy with a few other winter projects at the farm! From making modifications to our freezer area, working on Cafe floor upgrades, and increasing overall storage space, there is no shortage of things to do around here!

Winter pruning is underway in the orchard! One of the biggest trees we have on the farm are the old pears, which were planted back in 1987. The majority of our 65,000 trees on the farm are dwarf apple trees, these have been grafted onto size controlling rootstocks, which minimizes the size of the tree. This results in apple orchards that can mostly be pruned without ladders and provide efficient, high-quality fruit production.
