While spending time on my computer isn't my number 1 priority, it's the only way to process photos. Still catching up, here's my favourites from 2019. https://www.deanhebertphotography.com/apps/photos/album
I got outside my comfort zone for a couple of hikes last year. These are my top 5 hikes from 2020 https://www.deanhebertphotography.com/the-5-best-hikes-of-2
I'm trying to catch-up on a back load of trip reports. This is from 3 trips to the Mount Baker Wilderness.
A return trip to the Three Sisters Wilderness in Oregon. https://members.webs.com/MembersB/editAppPage.jsp
This is pretty much the "money" shot from the beach at Lindeman Lake. I wasn't happy with how washed out the sky was so this is the first image where I've replaced the sky with something else.
A few quick photos from Wednesday's hike up Mount Cheam. We stopped to watch a bear who crossed the trail just behind. When we reached the lowest meadow we looked back and there was another bear behind us on the lower slopes.
I believe that the park closurers in Vancouver are driving the people to find other areas to flock to. It essentially have the reverse affect as these people are crowded into less area. Coquihalla is a prime target. Yesterday, the parking lot overflowed to the streets and there was around 40 tents set-up at the lake. This is an area with no facilities and I'm afraid this kind of traffic will destroy this fragile enviroment.
Sometimes I can't believe how lazy I am. Here are a few shots from the first evening from last year's trip up Bryant Creek.
Before my surgery I did a hike up the Needle Peak Trail. Conditions were great and I had a good hike until I realized my micro spikes had come off somewhere along the descent.
A few photos from a hike up Flora after a snow fall.
I've printed up some of my favourite photos. If you're interested in having a look or purchasing a print they are on display at Valley Cycle Locksmiths, in Chilliwack. We're open 9-5 Monday to Saturday.
I think I was too spooked by the thought of running into a grizzly to really relax, I've got to find someone to go on these hikes with. Sunset from day 1, and twin peaks on the approach to Allenby Pass.
For a "Day 1", the hike from Mount Shark parking up Bryant Creek is the easiest start to a backpacking trip I've ever had. My first break was at this river crossing, with Cone Mountain providing the scenery.
After a great brunch I went for a quick hike to Greendrop Lake. Greendrop isn't very scenic so I stopped at Lindeman Lake and took a couple of photos.
Went for a quick hike up Table Mountain before checking out Artist Point.
It's taken my knees a couple of days to recover but even so Mount Outram was a great hike. On the way down I had to stop for a photo op.
I had a chance to hike Excelsior Pass last weekend. Still lots of snow the last mile to the top. I made a friend on the way down.
A couple photos from our weekend in San Diego.
I did less hiking this year than I would have liked but I've put together my 5 Best Hikes of 2018. Take a few minutes to have a look and let me know if you've hike any of them. www.deanhebertphotography.com
Horseshoe bend, just minutes outside Page, Arizona, is a popular spot for good reason.
I had a good time in Tonquin Valley, my first backpack trip in Jasper National Park. https://www.deanhebertphotography.com//45719847-late-seaso
Any ideas why they call this Picture Lake? I normally don't stop here as this shot has been done more times than I can count.
Just getting around to processing some photos from Oregon.
After delaying forever and then having my harddrive crash without a back-up, I've finally finished my Best of 2017! https://www.deanhebertphotography.com/apps/photos/album
