We have had several emails, calls and text messages from guests seeking information on the border opening and the status of their trip this summer. We have no firm information at this time on the border opening. As soon as we have reliable information we will relay it to you. In the interim, if you have questions or concerns dont hesitate to contact us.We plan to start calling our June groups shortly to discuss options. Im looking forward to coming around the curve on Beach Road and seeing Leuenbergers Otters waiting to get us far and away for a week to relax and fish! Be safe and stay healthy.

If you are looking for a place to stay the night before your trip, we recommend Pennocks Tourist Service or R & D apartments both in Nakina. We recommend that you make reservations early! Geraldton is a nice town that you pass through before you reach Nakina. We have stayed at the Crown and Anchor and Between Bridges in Geraldton. Both are nice places to get some rest prior to your trip. We had a group last season that called at 4pm the afternoon bef...ore their trip. They were looking for a place to stay. My thought was, "Why not wait until the last minute?". They soon arrived and, luckily, Pennocks had a place open. We met and they explained that they had made a previous reservation on the internet. They called the place prior to getting to GERALDTON ONTARIO CANADA to find out that they had made a reservation in Geraldton Australia. If you stay in Australia Thursday night, you will miss your Friday morning float plane ride! Stay healthy! See more

One of my favorite places...the Atwood inflow at Peninsular! I would like to fast forward 70 days and just sit, relax and listen to the water roar down the rapids!

We were just informed that the Ultimate Sports Show Grand Rapids has been canceled. Under the circumstances, we expected this to happen. I will be in contact with those who had expressed interest in fishing with us and were going to meet us at this show. You can also call me at 765 366 2366. What a great year DWO has had! I want to thank this group for making it happen! Brian, Jamie, Rob, Dar, Claudine, Trevor, Mike and Angus. You guys are awesome! With the passing of Malcolm, the outfitter world lost a man with a wealth of knowledge and experience. The stories he told, the history he knew, the advice he gave, the questions he answered, the occasional scolding I received as well as the pat on the back were sorely missed this year. But Malcolm had a crew that he ...had molded to take Leuenberger Air through if something like this were to happen, and they did not disappoint Mac!! Cabo and I just returned from a few days of work at Cerulean. We caught several really nice walleye and pike with a couple of them being huge. Its really hard to get fish pictures by yourself!

Heres a few walleye I caught last week at Studd Lake with Deep Wilderness Outposts Inc. north of Nakina, Ontario. In excess of 1500 landed between 4 guys throughout the course of the week.
