Some tips to protect yourself while driving on the job: -Before starting your car, turn off your phone and put it out of reach; -If you have to be on the road for an extended period of time let your bosses and clients know not to expect a response until you are safely off the road; -Use your work calendar to block off travel time so your employees or colleagues know not to expect an immediate response; and -There are plenty of apps out there that can disable texting, send an automated response, and hold calls while you’re driving
