Someone clearly loves Delta Law Office too much and thought there was a drive-thru service at our Tsawwassen Office. I guess that car knows we do ICBC claims as well.

Driving while on the Job: Distracted driving isn’t just a problem for teenage drivers; professional drivers are equally at risk. We live in a fast-paced world of multitasking where a lot of people see their downtime to get caught up on phone calls and possibly texts while they are in their vehicles. Many of us feel pressured to always be on and to be responsive to our bosses, colleagues, and clients. The dings and rings of our devices are constant reminders of our commitmen...ts, but no call, email, text, or notification is worth a life. Some tips to protect yourself while driving on the job: -Before starting your car, turn off your phone and put it out of reach; -If you have to be on the road for an extended period of time let your bosses and clients know not to expect a response until you are safely off the road; -Use your work calendar to block off travel time so your employees or colleagues know not to expect an immediate response; and -There are plenty of apps out there that can disable texting, send an automated response, and hold calls while you’re driving

After the car in which plaintiff was a passenger pulled into a parking stall lot, it was struck by another car which was backing out of the next stall. Damage to vehicles was minor. ICBC wrote off one car because it was worth less than the repair estimate, The plaintiff claimed she felt a jolt at the time but denied she hit anything inside the car or was moved in any direction. She sued drivers of both cars for damages claiming the accident caused her soft tissue injuries,... head, neck, shoulder, and low back pain and depression, which symptoms allegedly had an immediate onset Personal injury claim dismissed on basis there was no convincing evidence that this minor, slow-moving parking lot accident caused the plaintiff any compensable injury. For purposes of liability for vehicular damage, driver of Honda was in breach of s. 193 of Motor Vehicle Act (failure to use caution in backing vehicle) and 100% responsible for accident. See more
