Electric Fence 3 : Bears 0 Don’t want to jinx it, but so far we have been able to keep the black bears out of our hives. Over the last 3 years, we have had 3 attempts by bears to get in. I guess they have heard about our @denbee.honey too. But you don’t have to break the fence! If you want honey, all you have to do is ask (or message / e-mail)! Thanks to @louis.paulin and @skoothouse for the pictures

It feels like one of those days to just hang around. One of our favourite pairings on weekend mornings is @denbee.honey with lightly toasted bread & coffee

@threesistershoney beginning the process of harvesting the fall honey (our 2nd and final harvest of the year). We start by removing the honey supers (the smaller boxes on the hive), allow the bees to escape, and then extract the honey from the comb using a centrifuge.
