Effective Dec 14 at 12:01 a.m., Ontario is moving seven public health regions to new levels in the Response Framework. Windsor-Essex County Health Unit and t...he York Region Public Health are moving to GreyLockdown. Limit all trips outside your home for essential reasons only, like buying groceries or medical appointments. Middlesex-London Health Unit, Simcoe Muskoka District Health Unit, and Wellington-Dufferin-Guelph Public Health are moving to Red-Control. Eastern Ontario Health Unit is moving to Orange-Restrict. Leeds, Grenville and Lanark District Health Unit is moving to Yellow-Protect. These measures are being taken to limit community transmission of COVID-19 in order to keep schools open, safeguard health system capacity, and protect the province’s most vulnerable populations. Avoid non-essential travel to stop the spread of COVID-19. news.ontario.ca//ontario-moving-regions-to-new-levels-with

Owen Sound's 10th Street bridge replacement project reached "milestone" six of 11 Wednesday with the delivery and installation of the structure's girders. The l...arge crane on the left put the 10 girders into place, a process that took about four hours, according to public works and engineering director Dennis Kefalas. The other crane, on the right, was doing cleanup work on the east side of the Sydenham River. DENIS LANGLOIS See more

Smiles are contagious!! Thanks Have1.com for the custom mask!
Grey Bruce Medical Officer of Health, Doctor Ian Arra, is giving notice of intent to Order the mandatory wearing of face coverings in enclosed public places. Th...e Order will be issued and coming into effect within the next 10 days as per consultation with stakeholders. Public Health has been in ongoing discussion with stakeholders in respect to the details and language of the Order. This will ensure the Order is appropriate and proportionate to the local needs and that it can be implemented in a manner that is practical, equitable, and does not infringe on the rights of people who cannot tolerate facial covering due to medical conditions. Accumulating epidemiological evidence indicates that the widespread use of Face Coverings in public decreases spread of respiratory droplets, and expert opinion supports the widespread use of face coverings to decrease transmission of COVID-19. Wearing of face coverings in enclosed public spaces further reduces the risk of transmission of COVID-19. says Grey Bruce Medical Officer of Health, Dr. Ian Arra. It is of critical importance that the use of face coverings does not become a replacement to the current effective practices of physical distancing, handwashing, screening for symptoms among others. Face covering should be used in combination with these practices to break the chain of transmission of the virus. For more details: https://bit.ly/2Z4EWy2
Poppies enjoying the sunshine and light breeze!
The Grey Bruce Health Unit reminds everyone that wearing a face covering is critical to decreasing the risk of COVID-19 spread when personal distancing is not p...ossible. When worn properly, masks or face coverings can reduce the spread of infectious respiratory droplets by preventing many of your germs from leaving your mouth and nose. This is useful when physical distancing is not possible in public settings, such as when grocery shopping. Wearing a cloth mask or other non-medical face covering is an additional measure and not a substitute for physical distancing and hand washing. Full News Release: http://ow.ly/XVlU50A5gMn
