@betterhomesandgardens @oneroomchallenge final reveal day is here. I love challenges that motivate us to get out of our comfort zones. That is exactly what the #OneRoomChallenge did for me. Several firsts for me: ... colour blocking on a wall, a DIY washy tape wall, and a wood slat headboard. This room looked so much different pre-pandemic days. It was a TV/games/hang out room for the boys but when one of our sons moved back home to isolate with us, everything changes. The weeks turn into months, his summer job was cancelled and then, had 2 surgeries in less than two months. I thought he deserved a proper room with a special tribute to his all-time hero. COVID-19 has pushed us all to do more than what we thought we could do, from a simple DIY washy tape wall to making + space in our days for those that need more of us. Now that my first one is done, I may do the next one in the spring to.
