Have you ever wondered where "WILSON" from the movie Castaway starring Tom Hanks ended up? Well, he showed up at Destiny Beach this summer in the disguise of a boat buoy! :)

Summer and most other seasons (save winter in the Yukon) seem to fly by so fast. Over the course of the past four years guests whom I will refer to as friends spend a week with family here every July. They all checked out this morning...I can't believe another year has passed. However...there is always 2013!

Well, June brought us some interesting weather. We saw cooler temperatures than normal, a considerable amount of rain and a couple of thrashing hail storms. However, with the commencement of July and the fireworks display on July 01st (that were awesome), we have said good-by to June and are now awaiting temperatures that by this Saturday will see us in the upper 30's. Yeah! The lake is up due to flooding high waters from thawing snow and rain in the upper valley..but the water levels will subside now that we are in the throngs of summer heat.
