NEW + LIMITED EDITION LOS GIRASOLES MEJORADO, COSTA RICA Peach / Jasmine / Blackberry Mejorado, named for its elegant and amplified taste profile, is a treasured hybrid variety microlot grown at high altitude in the beautiful Tarrazu region on the acclaimed Los Girasoles farm in Costa Rica. ... Once picked at peak ripeness, this prized coffee is meticulously processed through the white honey method by the Calderon family at their Los Angeles micromill making it a real coffee masterpiece!! What you’ll taste is a special mixture of delicate geisha-like flavours and the more sugary honey processed Costa Rican flavours we’ve come to enjoy. Look for soft perfume-like floral aromatics that lead to a clean, elegant texture and sweet flavours of blackberry, jasmine, and fresh peach on the finish. Because quantities are so limited, this coffee is only available online and we will be taking roasting reservations for order on Wednesdays. The first roast is Wednesday March 3rd so place your order by Tuesday at 12pm to reserve your bag. We only have a few roasts of this coffee so don’t wait! See more

NEW COFFEE - PERU EL CIPRES Chocolate Wafer / Pear / Raspberry When we saw how high this coffee was grown our jaw actually dropped to the floor! Quite literally from among the clouds in the remote Querocoto district of Peru’s Chota province comes a new coffee that is grown at an unbelievable altitude of 2250 MASL. ... Producer Mario Jesus’ farm El Cipres is so high that the altitude causes his coffees to go through an extremely slow maturation process at all levels of growth from tree maturation to cherry maturation, all the way through to the fermentation process. The result is a coffee that's undergone increased sugar development, leading to a cup profile with a focused and clean character. That transcendent experience transfers into the cup with beautiful aromatics of soft fruits making way to juicy raspberry-like acidity and layered notes of apple, pear, and chocolate wafer. See more

NEW COFFEE - HONDURAS PINARES Green Grape / Hazelnut / Milk Chocolate The definition of smooth, this coffee has all the flavours we can dream up in our perfect morning espresso. Grown in the infamous Santa Barbara region of Honduras on the Moreno family farm and meticulously processed at their family-owned mill in El Campo, Pinares is a 100% Pacas variety that's jam packed with a delightful sweetness that will quickly become your daily go-to. This coffee is super ref...ined, and shines as an espresso or more developed filter with smooth caramel-like aromatics that open up to a chocolatey backbone and vibrant notes of green grape, hazelnut and milk chocolate. Coming from a humble background, the Morenos have made coffee cultivation a sustainable business for their entire family. Producer Olvin Moreno is a third generation coffee grower, son of Daniel Moreno, and a member of the large Moreno family of coffee producers. He inherited a lot of the El family farm in 2007 and extended the farm by buying another lot in 2016. The family is super ambitious and remains very passionate with a long-term vision for their farm and a focus on planning, understanding what their market is looking for, and constant reevaluation and tweaking of agronomic, harvesting and processing techniques. It’s not everyday that we can source an African coffee with this much traceability and this lot feels a little magical! Subtle notes of spice and a crisp cranberry-like acidity leads to an incredibly layered and sweet cup. Grown on the highest hill in the region at producer Augustin Benda’s family farm in the Remera Sector of the Gatsibo district and processed at the quality-focused Humure Washing Station located in the Eastern Province of Rwanda, this is a wonderful way to kick off another season of beautiful coffees from Emmanual Rusatira’s Baho Coffee Network and the inspiring importer @semillacoffee. NEW ESPRESSO - LOS NARANJOS, COLOMBIA Grapefruit / Amaretto / Toffee Back for a sixth year in a row, this is a crowd-pleasing cup you’ll have a hard time sharing, with lovely spiced cola aromatics that make way to a cup filled with notes of grapefruit, amaretto and toffee. ... Grown on small parcels of land on the shore of the Los Naranjos River n the hills above the humble town of San Agustin by a group of quality-obsessed farmers, this coffee brings big, exquisite flavour to each and every cup. The association of coffee producers "Los Naranjos" is another example of small-parcel Colombian coffee culture at its best where the quality of each lot speaks directly to the kinship, passion and common-drive of each individual farmer in the group. NEW YEAR, NEW COFFEE - LA PRAGUA COLOMBIA Red Currant / Strawberry / Sugar Cane La Piragua is a beautifully complex coffee that has been one of our favourite coffees we've tasted this year. Grown on the family owned and operated Finca La Piragua in the Palestina municipality of the Huila region by producer Alexander Vargas, this coffee is brimming with a rich comforting sweetness and syrupy texture. Look for slightly spice-like aromatics that lead to a pronounced swee...tness and lovely notes of red currant, strawberry, and sugar cane. Producer Alexander Vargas began working on his family owned coffee farm, later purchasing his own farm, Finca La Piragua, in the Palestina area of the Huila region. He adapted the land and built it into a coffee plantation from scratch, planting his own coffee from seed. He owns his own processing equipment, which means he depulps all his coffee cherries the day after picking, puts the coffee through a double fermentation, and then dries it to a specific moisture content using a parabolic drying bed. Our retail bags are delayed so we're getting creative! 2020 has been all about adapting to new challenges and things are no different for us. We are planning to release some exciting design tweaks to our retail bags this fall but like everything, there have been a few slight delays and obstacles. So in true 2020 fashion, we are getting creative, taking it in stride, and finding a positive twist by taking some liberties with our packaging designs and releasing a limited editi...on sensory series! For the next few weeks all of our coffees will come in a limited time packaging with labels you can colour in yourself! These bags will only be around for a few weeks until our new bags arrive at the roastery, so have fun with it, taste your own flavour notes, and bring your own colour to our single origin flags. To inspire you to be part of the process we’re offering 15% off all our single origin coffees online this week with the code: COLOUR15!! Happy Brewing (and colouring)! See more
