Struggling with Tooth Sensitivity? Depending on the type of sensitivity that you have, different methods are available to you. If you have dentinal sensitivity, the middle layer of your tooth is exposed. This could be caused by receding gum lines. While pulpal sensitivity comes from the pulp chamber of the tooth where nerves and tissues are stored. This sensitivity can be caused by decay, infection, recent fillings, or the grinding of teeth. We Are Reopening Thank you to our fabulous patients for your understanding during our closure; as we tried to do our part to help control the spread of Covid-19. ... The Alberta Dental Association has notified us that we are now permitted to resume most routine dental services. Certain procedures often involves airborne particle-producing equipment, which in turn requires us to use enhanced personal protective equipment; such as respirator masks, surgical gowns and face shields. We are pleased to announce that we have secured the necessary PPE and we will be doing a gradual reopening of our clinic on May 19th. For the rest of May - our hours will be Tuesday - Friday from 9 am - 3:30 pm. Our hours will be extended on June 1st. We are committed to providing care to you and your family, so please dont hesitate to call if you would like an appointment or if you have any questions or concerns. A few things to remember when you do come in for your appointment: please notify us ahead of your appointment if you have any symptoms of Covid-19 -such as: fever, new or worsening cough, sore throat, difficulty breathing, shortness of breath, or flu like symptoms. please wear a mask when entering our clinic. no other people can come with you to your appointment other than 1 parent with a minor. only one person at our reception desk at a time. REOPENING To: Our Valued Patients We hope this FB post finds you and your family in good health.... Recently, The Alberta Dental Association has approved urgent dental care treatment, in addition to providing emergency examinations and prescriptions. This includes management of acute pain and swelling, trauma, dental abscess, symptomatic extractions, and large symptomatic cavities. Treatment of such conditions often involves airborne particle-producing equipment that requires us to use enhanced personal protective equipment such as respirator masks, surgical gowns and face shields. Due to the current supply chain shortages in PPE, it has been difficult for dental clinics to reopen. However, we are pleased to announce that our clinic is going to be able to open on Wed May 13th and that we have secured approved and fitted PPE. We will only be opening approximately 2-3 days per week at this time, depending on need, as we are restricted to providing only urgent care. Regular dental cleanings, exams, asymptomatic fillings and elective treatment are not allowed as of yet. No concrete date has been communicated to us from the Alberta Dental Association as to when we will be permitted to resume routine dental care.
