On Trans Day of Remembrance, we honour the memory of the many trans and non-binary lives who were tragically cut short due to acts of anti-transgender violence.... We lost 391 trans people worldwide this past year to violence - and surely countless more that will remain unrecorded. As #TDOR founder Gwendolyn Anne Smith said, "With so many seeking to erase transgender people - sometimes in the most brutal ways possible - it is vitally important that those we lose are remembered, and that we continue to fight for justice." TransFamily Kingston will be holding a virtual vigil tonight at 7:00pm live-streamed on the Kingston Pride Facebook page.
