Diefenbunker: Canada's Cold War Museum 12.11.2020

We're so excited to welcome you back underground. Here are a few things you should do before you arrive: . Booking online puts you directly in the system, meaning no tickets need to exchange hands. It also helps us reduce wait times. . The Bunker wasn't built for WiFi and you won't have Internet access underground. Make sure you download your preferred audioguide to your device before you enter - once you're in the tunnel you... won't have any connection. You'll find the most up-to-date information at https://diefenbunker.ca/wereready/ Thank you for your patience as we adjust to the new normal. Our blast doors are open and we look forward to seeing you whenever you're ready.

With everything that's happened this year we're grateful we’ve been able to adapt our programming and maintain our commitment to public safety, but reduced admissions mean reduced revenue. If you’re able to participate in #GivingTuesday, please consider donating to your favourite Cold War Bunker. Your donations go a long way in helping us bring history to life and keep our blast doors open. This year we've put our Whisky Fundraiser online - https://fareharbor.com//di/item...s/270760/calendar/2020/12/ And you can always donate through CanadaHelps: https://givingtuesday.ca//diefenbunker-canadas-cold-war-mu Thank you for thinking of us!

It's that time of year! We're taking applications for our 2021 Artist-in-Residence program. This opportunity lets one artist showcase their Bunker or Cold War inspired art for three to six months in The Diefenbunker. Our current artist is Greta Grip, who has warmed our walls and coded messages into her knitted works.... Deadline to apply is January 14th, 2021. To see previous Artist-in-Residences or for more information on how to apply check out our website: https://diefenbunker.ca/artist-in-residence/

For the first time in eight years we won't be hosting our Whisky Business fundraiser, so we found a way to bring some Bunker cheer to you at home, and hopefully raise a few funds for your favourite local Bunker! We've partnered with Savvy Company and the Swan at Carp to create four holiday themed cocktail recipes for you to impress your friends and family. The cocktail recipes are available for digital download, and come with a few digital bonuses - including an exclusive vi...rtual tour of the Bunker. We also have a limited number of take-home cocktail kits available for purchase. These will include everything you need to make cocktails for two (sans alcohol), and include some fun Bunker swag! It's the perfect gift. You get to stay home, shop local, and help us keep our blast doors open. Cheers! https://fareharbor.com//di/items/270760/calendar/2020/12/

Worlds largest escape room? Coolest atmosphere? Open now with COVID-19 safety precautions in place?

Spooky season might be over, but we could all use a bit of lighter content on our feed right now. Thanks to West Carleton Online for featuring our Toddler Halloween Hunt in their paper. We had over 60 toddlers celebrate Halloween with us and raised over $500 for The Bunker!
