Received a call the other day from someone wanting to kayak out to the McCoys. Come on are you serious??? This time of year??? I tried talking him out of it. We'll see what happens. Not only will he be risking his and his partners life but the lives of the first responders, coast guard and anyone else that could become involved. Save this for the summer, I've seen too many that have lost their lives unnecessarily on the Bay. As beautiful as Georgian Bay can be it can also be very cruel. Be smart about it.

Hotel on Adanac Island. It was called Rigmac. Two families owned it and combined their names. One was MacGregor and the other I think was Rigby.

What a roller coaster ride this Mole Salamander had. He went from the skimmer through the lines and ended up in the filter basket. And he lived to talk about it.

Fall fishing makes for some of the best catches. Way to go fellas. These guys were quite comfortable in our 3 bedroom rental "The Franklin". If you're looking for a get away for fishing or just relaxing this just might be the place for you.

Good morning Georgian Bay. You just know it's going to be a beautiful day when you wake to this.

Power outage until at least 9:30 this morning.

The kids had a great time carving pumpkins and enjoying our outdoor movie night. Feature was Hocus Pocus. It was our final event for the summer. Happy Thanksgiving and Halloween. Thanks to everyone who helped out and Shelly Fardell for providing all the "tech-know-how".

I think back to how this summer played out and feel so thankful that we remained safe and that everyone played a part during this challenging, unpredictable time. As Thanksgiving weekend approaches the roads will be busier then usual, please be careful out there. Next year has to be better and I'm looking forward to welcoming you all back for next summer already. We all have our own reasons to be thankful. I'd love to read what you are thankful for.
