Disc NS is offering Learn to Play Ultimate clinics. The clinics span 3 weeks starting this Saturday (October 17) at 5 pm on field 4 of the BMO Soccer Center. Each clinic lasts 50 minutes. At each clinic, coaches will work with you on two parts of ultimate: throwing/catching and basic tactics.... The clinic will end with a 15 minute scrimmage to use what you have learned. As of October 1, 2020, the province of Nova Scotia is allowing competitive play in sports for up to 50 participants (including coaches and subs). We have updated the return to play document to reflect how the province is managing access to competitive play. The updated return to play plan is at https://www.discns.ca//Retur/DiscNS_Return_to_play_v21.pdf Within that plan, play for ultimate is set to be phase 3, which allows for league-style play without additional distancing... for marking. If conditions change in the province, we will be updating the phase of play in which we belong. For indoor play, facilities will have added restrictions that we must follow. As always, keep with the spirit of the game in any play: play safely, respect the sport, and respect your fellow athletes in all cases including keeping their health safe too.

Another High School championship in the books! Some great weather led to some incredible ultimate this past Sunday at wickwire. Congratulations to our Champions... Ecole du Carrefour! They won a hard fought finals against a strong Dartmouth High squad to cap off an undefeated weekend. We also had some incredible out of city schools competing, highlighted by Northumberland Regional High School taking both the Third place and Spirit prizes. Great job! Every athlete gave it their all during the sun and heat and there was lots of amazing ultimate for the spectators, so thanks to all the competitors for your great drive and sportsmanship. Also huge shout out to all the coaches, parents, and volunteers that make events like this possible. You are appreciated!! Looking forward to seeing you all again next year! See more
