You've probably heard about how tectonic plates are moving continually moving and shifting; no doubt you have heard of the supercontinent Pangaea. Have you ever thought about the future of tectonic movements or that the Earth may have another supercontinent? https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=2RmvAbncMYk
Hi CFDC friends!! We are closed to the public due to new Covid 19 Restrictions, but it doesn't mean the CFDC is stalled. We are making the most of this time working in the back. One of those projects currently underway is the assembling of an original real-fossil Platecarpus. We will be posting the advance here in Facebook.... Take a virtual look through our lab's window!! The complete skull and 40 vertebrae are already in place, 70 left, and then there will be a scapular girdle, ribs, etc......Stay tuned!! See more

Sometimes it is hard to imagine what the world looked like 60 million...200 million...or 750 million years ago. This awesome article allows you to do just that! https://bigthink.com/strange-/ancient-earth-globe.amp.html
The CFDC "New Exhibit Machine" is working at full capacity. One of the most exciting new displays will be a whole actual-bone Platecarpus skeleton assembling. For the first time ever at the CFDC, you will be able to see one of our most complete mosasaur skeletons. Stay tunned!!
