Happy Thanksgiving, USA! Wishing our American customers and followers a healthy and safe thanksgiving!
Here are our top 10 friendly reminders on electric bike etiquette and safety: 1. Remember that you are riding an ebike, not a motorcycle! Follow the rules of the road that non-ebikes are subject to, like hand signals when turning, yielding to pedestrians, etc. Do not ride on sidewalks! 2. Be familiar with local speed limits and other laws that apply specifically to ebikes. 3. You are an ambassador for ebikes. That means you want to positively represent yourself and the indust...ry by being extra courteous to non-ebike riders. You are aiming for looks of envy, not anger! 4. Do not pass other bikes, electric or otherwise, unless you can do so safely and without inconveniencing them. Offer a smile and friendly word when passing (passing on your left thank you!). 5. Be careful around motorized vehicles. They may not be expecting you to be faster than a pedal bike. Watch for car doors opening in your path. 6. Be seen! Use lights, reflectors, etc. to make sure you are visible. 7. Use consideration in parking your bike, keeping clear of other bikes, vehicles, pedestrians, etc. Lock your bike and battery. 8. Avoid distracted riding! Keep your phone in your pocket, bike bag, etc. Remember that phones can be charged on your DJ Bike battery while riding. 9. Ride with a buddy, and always have your phone with you (while still obeying rule 8!). 10. Always wear a helmet. Be safe; be seen; be courteous. And have fun while you’re at it!
Charging my DJ ebike using the battery I charged with the solar panels and inverter I am about to install on a travel trailer. I had already disconnected the battery from the panels before I thought to take a picture.

Middle of the woods and 2 LEDs made for a pretty cool shot.
All pictures are better in black and white
I got it today. Thank you Daniel! Erik
Super Bike out in the little town.
Great to see celebrities on electric bikes.
Ive had the DJ folding bike since May 5 of this year, and use it on the trails around Page, Arizona and Glenn Canyon Recreation Area for photography. Its per...fect for hauling the gear I need and handles the terrain well, including steep, sandy hills. The only improvement Id like to see (or make myself) is a larger, curved handlebar for better control, something like the City Bikes. I took this photo last night on Rim View Trail in Page.
Did replace peddles with folding ones. I am 75 and live in steep costal river vallies. Perfect for me. Same at the beach. - by John Newstead

I now have my DJ Bike Foldable fully configured. Below are the photos of the bike from different angles. Ill go over some of the key features and my decisions for the configs.
Safe to say Steve Ruppert has been an inspiration on my mods. Very nice setup indeed! And youre right, no comparison on the seat its amazing!
Loving my new addition. Already 38 miles on it! 32 of them in Northern Michigan. I it!
Arrived and assembled yesterday, first trip today! What a fantastic ride, thanks so much Daniel!
Hi Daniel - I wanted to wait until I had at least 100 miles on my bike before giving you an update (134 miles as of this mornings ride). I love this bike more each time I ride it. Im still learning the finer points of e-bike riding in the desert, but Ive already doubled the length of my average ride. Ive attached a couple of pictures of recent rides: one shows the bike in a narrow canyon, the other is of the bike on a dirt road with Hoover Dam (dimly) in the background.... Getting good pictures of my rides is difficult because I almost always ride before dawn during the summer - overnight low temperatures are usually between 30-35 C, and daytime highs are between 40 and 45 C. There really isnt any time of day that cools down. I want to thank you again for making such a great bike available. The front suspension and spring-loaded seat make for a very comfortable ride, even over extremely rough ground. And the battery life is amazing - I use peddle-assist almost exclusively (no throttle riding), and I have ridden over 40 miles on a charge, with display showing almost half power remaining. - by David Casey
Got some people asking me about it and its definitely an eye catching bike. Riding around the city. Added a small air pump and bag for the phone with some basic tools. Summer days on a DJ
Dear Daniel.. I am very happy with this piece of equipment I bought and want to thank you. You were important factor of my decision and more now that I have the bike. Like it!.... All good so far. I added additional wood crating to your delivery, and it was good decision to protect on top. But bike was well packaged and assembly quite easy though. Now in Venezuela, having fun in Lecheria City, Complejo Turistico El Morro. See it on Google Maps for your reference.... I had my second ride today. Running it prudently. -by Jon Zubizarreta
Hi Daniel, thanks again for the bikes - by Joseph Lipniczky

A folding bike should have a folding basket right?
Hello Daniel, the step through one got here this morning I put together, charged the battery and tested shortly. Looks good for now. - By Joseph Lipniczky

I have been commuting by riding my DJ Bike. You know what? 12 people from my company will contact you about purchasing the bikes! - by Barbara Gray
With Marcs permission, I am sharing the cutest DJ Bikes picture! "I live Newport Beach, CA and have it on the boardwalk everyday. Ive had it for a week and am getting looks and people asking about it like crazy. Just know you are getting a ton of visibility. Thanks for the great bike we love it!"... -by Marc Motzer
Hello fellow DJ owners! I just got my new bike a couple of days ago and just found this group! Im so glad we have our own group. I bought mine direct (no tax) ...and received it in 4 days! Folding fat-tire step-thru. Ive owned two Rads (mini and a Rover) and find that the DJ is faster! Ive just completed my second knee replacement and needed the step-thru since these bionic knees dont like lifting over anything. Loving my new bike and looking forward to staying in touch with yall. My fat tire all done with new Brooks saddle, Cane Creek seat post, DJ bag, Meachow mirror, and GUB phone holder. Ride is so smooth!
Got it yesterday and have done 20 miles. Took it to the bike shop today to have the brakes and derailleur adjusted. 24 mph easy on flat ground and 18 up steep hills. This bike is great
Added a few things to the DJ Super Bike.
Just wanted to let you know that the bike had arrived in great condition. Everything works well and my girlfriend really loves the bike. - Justin Straube
Good morning Daniel. Our bike arrived yesterday morning. The packaging was excellent, and obviously offered very good protection while in transit. After assembling the bike and charging the battery I took the bike for a test ride. - by Erik Zobel
