What’s your favorite part of getting ready in the morning??? Here’s one of mine. After my shower, I apply doTERRA’s natural unscented lotion with a couple of drops of essential oil onto my skin.... I have completely removed scented lotions from my home. You should consider doing the same. The term fragrance or parfum on a cosmetic ingredients list usually represents a complex mixture of dozens of chemicals. Some 3,000 chemicals are used as fragrances. Fragrance is an obvious ingredient in perfumes, colognes, and deodorants, but it's used in nearly every type of personal care product. Trust you will know when the time is right.

If you have been following my feeds at all, you know that this weekend I performed the wedding ceremony for my brother and his beautiful bride. I was so honoured and so flattered that they would ask me to play this ingegral role on this most special of days. And I was SO NERVOUS!! I wasn’t so nervous about the public speaking as I’ve done quite a bit of that before. But I was nervous that my emotions; all the joy and love, would get the best of me and I would get all choke...d up and unable to speak. I didn’t want this for their wedding day. You guys...the oils helped me....so much...yet again. I am a firm believer that we are drawn to particular oils at particular times and that we need to trust this intuition and use the oils we are called to in the moment. I’ve actually never been a huge fan of Rose, although it has grown on me in the last couple of years. But it was THE ONLY oil that I wanted as I prepared for this day. I was practicing in front of a mirror the day before th wedding, and as I visualized my brother and his bride standing before me, teary-eyed and love-struck, I got all choked up, started crying and couldn’t speak. I wanted Rose and only rose. I felt I needed it. I rolled it onto my pulse points, over my heart and on my throat and paused with my eyes closed breathing in the soothing, nurturing aroma. It helped. I felt my throat relax. I started breathing in my belly again. I practiced again. And again. And I continued to use the rose oil each time. Just prior to the ceremony my nerves were really talking. My belly was tight, I was breathing up high in my chest and my emotions were bubbling. Again, all I wanted was my rose oil. I applied it as I had during my practice sessions and repeated the mantra I Can, I Will, I Am, YES! over and over. Long story short....I knocked the ceremony out of the park. I got choked up at one part while speaking to my brother about how much I loved him, but it was perfect and as I inhaled the lingering aroma of the rose, I settled and was able to continue, poised, focussed and sincere in my words. Whether you are new to oils, or a veteran oiler, I can not emphasize enough the power of the oils to assist us with our emotions. We don’t have to bury things away. We NEED to feel our emotions and to acknowledge them. But we can find peace in how we move with our emotions and THIS is an amazing experience. Have you ever been drawn to an oil? Trust yourself. If you are thinking of one, go get it and use it. You are wise in your own knowing of yourself and your needs.

Things are changing. Times are changing. I have felt some significant resistant to a lot of the changes that are taking place right now. I realize that change is inevitable....it is a part of life...nothing is constant. So I'm trying to roll with it. ... But this word.....Transformation. It has a different ring to it. It's still a form of change but it feels more like progress than resistance. And so I'm choosing to embrace this time of transformation. New ideas on the horizon, new directions, new paths.
