The Tower, Park and Trail are closed for the 2020 season due to Covid-19. Because of this closure, the public water tap is currently not accessible. There will be no season passes issued for the 2020 season. Public water taps within Algonquin Highlands can be found at: Stanhope Airport located at 1168 Stanhope Airport Road and the Main Township Office located at 1123 North Shore Road. For regular updates as well as a list of Covid-19 frequently asked questions, please visit our website at www.algonquinhighlands.ca. Fall Colour Traffic Considerations The Tower is an extremely busy place during the peak of fall colours. Traffic management plans will be in affect during the weekends of October 5-6, 12-14, 19-20. Expect delays and long wait times of over two hours to access the Tower. Parking lots fill quickly and stay full throughout the day. The last vehicle permitted to enter the access line will be at 4:30pm, plan accordingly. If you can visit during a weekday, wait times will be significantly reduced. Please be patient and obey posted signage, the traffic control staff and the OPP who will be directing traffic.
