Short video showing how we feed the finishing cattle here in the winter! We use a haylage/sweet feed for the main part of their ration, and top dress/supplement with dairy quality dry second cut alfalfa hay. We do it the old way with hay rings and hand fork (yes, with a pitchfork) the dry alfalfa. One day, we hope to have a feed wagon that we can mix their ration in and feed in bunks in the field, but for now this will do!
