Today was a huge day for the Brockville Rotary and Dave Sheridan. As some of you may know, the Brockville rowing club used to put a car on the ice every year. From 1963-1969 every year people would bet on what exact time and day "Old Meg" would go through the ice. They were swiftly asked to stop, due to the pollution it caused in the water. This year, Old Meg has returned, in the form of a statue. It's elegantly named "Old Meg II" and it features an old pontiac style automob...ile on the front of it along with the Rotary logo. The statue was done by Brockville's very own Dave Sheridan whom spent around 200 hours perfecting it for today. It weighs approximately 3000 lbs or the weight of a small car.
