In support of the #OshawaLovesLocal campaign and our local businesses and their customers, the City of Oshawa is offering free parking at all metered on-street locations in downtown Oshawa during the holiday season! Additionally, there is free parking in FOUR downtown municipal parking lots over the holidays: lot 4 (on Athol Street between Centre and Simcoe streets), lot 18 (on William Street at Carriage Works), lot 50 (west side of the Oshawa Public Libraries’ McLaughlin branch) and lot 52 (west side of City Hall). At the eleventh hour of the eleventh day of the eleventh month, a moment of silence will be observed to honour all who have fallen and acknowledge those who have served for our freedom. Attention Downtown Oshawa small businesses McDougall Insurance and Grenville Mutual Insurance Company have partnered to offer a grand total of $10,000 to small business owners who have been impacted by COVID-19. Grant applications will be accepted from October 1, to October 30, 2020. The top 3 small businesses will be selected by a panel of judges winners will be announced on Monday, November 2nd, 2020.
