I’m a Hands on Chiropractor I’m a hands on Chiropractor. When I place my hands on my patients I get an incredible amount of information. Their body has a tale to tell and when you touch them their story is readily available. The type of day they are having, to how their life is going in general or to how much weight they are carrying on their shoulders. When you touch someone there is a bond that develops. One of my greatest assets is examination by palpation. Once I’ve di...scovered where they have problems, then I can use these same hands to help my patient by correcting the areas of interference and reduce the areas of stress. I have always been extremely comfortable and confident in adjusting spines manually. Whether they were infants on their way home from the hospital after birth or whether they were one of my ninety year olds with osteoporosis. Manual adjustments are gentle and effective. Some people are concerned with the noise that occurs when they receive a manual adjustment. Contrary to popular belief it is not the bones in the spine cracking. When you open the spinal joints as you make a correction there is a release of natural gases present within the joint, oxygen, nitrogen and carbon dioxide. Even though it can be noisy there is nothing negative happening, actually the opposite. The joints start to move freely and function and flexibility are returned to the spine. Truthfully I am more concerned when I don’t hear the pop. I truly love being a hands on Chiropractor.

Mark Twain had a formula for health, and this what he said, The only way to keep your health is to eat what you don’t want, drink what you don’t like and do what you’d rather not.He makes it seem like an unappealing way to accomplish health. Yet there is wisdom in that statement. Just like the advice from the knight in ‘Indiana Jones: The Last Crusade.’ You must choose, but choose wisely; for as the true grail will bring you life the false grail will take it from you.So w...hat would you choose? It’s pretty difficult to be 100% in all things but I have always encouraged patients to live close to the 80% rule. The 80% rule is to be good 80% of the time and misbehave 20% of the time. Why because denial is a negative motivator. If you feel like having a piece of that decadent chocolate cake then have it but just don’t eat the whole cake and don’t do it every day.But there is more to health than food, liquids and activity. The most important component is a fully functioning, fully expressive nervous system. If you have anything that interferes with your nervous system then your life expression is diminished. I have tried to let my patients know that my deepest concern is to remove anything that causes interference, stress or damage to their nervous system. One of the major interferences is when the vertebrae (spinal bones) get out of their normal alignment or function. My goal as a Chiropractor is to correct this misalignment allowing your nervous system to be fully expressive. See more

Have you ever heard the definition of health; the World Health Organization defines it as follows, a complete state of physical, mental and social well-being, and not merely the absence of disease or infirmity. Using that definition, how would your structure your health care program. So many are quick to get on the back of the government for not supplying the money for their health care but in actual fact what they really want is for the government to treat their sickness, ...disease or infirmity. These funds are staggering for the part of the health definition, that is minimal, the absence of disease and infirmity. Ask yourself, what are my plans for being the best that I can be physically, mentally and socially. A huge effort on your part here would mean that you have your own wellness program. It would also reduce the occurrence of disease and infirmity. Chiropractors have been a leader in wellness care. If you haven’t already, Discover Chiropractic and enjoy the renaissance of life.

Headaches Do you know that 85% of headaches originate in your neck. These are referred to as Cervicogenic Headaches. That simply means that even though you have pain in your head it didn’t begin there. The nerves that come off the spine in the upper neck control some of the muscles in the back of your neck but the majority go all around the top of your head. When the vertebrae (spinal bones) in your neck get out of normal alignment (called a Subluxation) they lose their prot...ective quality and create stress to these nerves creating significant tension in your neck and pain or aching in your head. Remember this, those headache are not caused from a deficiency of Tylenol or Advil. Chiropractic corrections can help to align these vertebrae, allowing a return to normal function, which may end your suffering.

Your Priceless; You and your love ones may know that, but now a Yale University biophysicist has determined scientifically that a pound of human flesh is worth about $111,475.00 and a whole body around $6 million. And those prices only cover raw materials, the hormones, proteins, enzymes, RNA, DNA, amino acids, and other complex biochemicals that are the stuff of life, Dr. Harold J. Horowitz says. Fashioning the $6 million chemical shopping list into human cells might cost $6...,000,000,000,000,000.00 (six thousand trillion dollars), Horowitz estimated. Assembling the resulting heap of cells into tissue, the tissue into organs, and the organs into a warm body might drain all the treasuries of the world, with no guarantee of success, Horowitz concluded. Now will knowing the above information make a difference on how you treat yourself????

One of my favorite authors is, Dr. Stephen Covey. Some of his quotes make you stop and ponder. He said,If we keep doing what were doing, we’re going to keep getting what we’re getting. What I get from this is, in order for you to change what your getting simply change what you’re doing. In the Tim McGraw song, My Next Thirty Years. That is exactly what he talks about, change what you’er doing.... To Quote, Oh my next thirty years, I’m gonna watch my weight Eat a few more salads and not stay up so late Drink a little lemonade and not so many beers Maybe I’ll remember my next thirty years My next thirty years will be the best years of my life Raise a little family and hang out with my wife Spend precious moments with the ones that I hold dear Make up for lost time here, in my next thirty years. Sound like a recipe for change. The only constant about life is change and only you can decide where you want to go. When you decide? Be gentle with yourself; the final words come from Dr. Stephen Covey, Where your headed is more important than how fast you are going, yet people are consumed with speed rather than direction.
